Gresch Jensen threw for 2531 yards and put up a 148 efficiency rating as a RS-freshman.

He was, what, 3rd in the Jerry Rice voting? Despite playing 2/3 of a season? Someone is getting a massive upgrade

Well that's not a good harbinger for the upcoming season.

I mean, it's not like we're going to be competing for championships either way. You all had better hope JMU stays good if you want anything resembling competition at the FCS level anytime soon

Ouch. He's talented. Any idea why?

Lost the starting job to the transfer QB, coach is a hard ass, Missoula is too cold (and loud). Who knows.

I mean the new coach will of course run a new system. So the kid needed a chance to learn it. In what world does a ex-UNLV QB with 44% completion rate replace a Freshman AA with 60% completion rate? Since Bobby was at UNLV maybe they still use some of his old playbook.

Please explain any of this Griz fans? It would be like NDSU throwing away Easton Stick after the first season and replacing him with an above average JUCO player.

What does it matter? We're 4 years away from competing and we'll probably have cut the athletic department by then

The new lad is better but still unhappy he didn't stick around and compete

I like Gresch a ton and am sad to see him leaving.

Sneed looked really good to me at the Spring game. He looked quick, mobile, and also has a damn good arm from what I could tell. Now all that could be said about Gresch too but Sneed looked to be fitting some throws into some fairly small windows...in stride.

I hate to see Gresch leaving though, I really do. Truly respect what he did and could have done for us.

Too bad for the Griz. Jensen was going to be a challenge to handle for the next three years.

I doubt Jensen even knows at this point.

Sounds like he saw the writing on the wall after the way the spring worked out.

Since he has to sit anyways (unless he goes down to D2 and there is only 1 D2 football program in his home state of Washington) he might as well explore any FBS opportunities that may arise maybe even at Washington or WSU. If he stays at the FCS level maybe Eastern Washington becomes a legit option...
