It's the Alliance of American Football. Surprised to have this come out of secrecy.

Meh. Football is declining in popularity. This league looks like it will try to fit itself in during March Madness and the beginning of baseball season. Good luck.

I imagine this will end up being essentially like arena league. It exists, but no one cares.

I don't see this being very successful at all.

It might last a few years but it'll flop after 5 or so. Nobody really cares about pro football outside of the NFL.

Back when American society was more openly social, there was added emphasis to go out and support sport teams. Now that we're becoming more introverted due to technology, it's getting harder and harder to justify leaving the house for anything besides work or getting groceries. So only the very top examples of sports will continue to get the coveted (but shrinking) attention, and everything else will flounder.

It sounds like this league might have a decent start, they get games on CBS so that’s pretty good. Maybe could emerge as a legit second tier league.

This actually seems fairly accurate, even beyond sports.

It's depressingly accurate.
