The "REAL" March Madness Starts Thursday--NCAA Wrestling Championships

Any of you guys here in Cleveland for the NCAA's? Lehigh qualified all ten wrestlers for the first time in the past 47 years since the current qualification system was invoked. FLo wrestling's computer analysis has the Mountain Hawks coming in 6th, which would be our highest finish since a tie for 3rd in 2004. We will need some breaks and not suffer any pratfalls, but I do see a potential for as high as 5th. I will be disappointed if we have less than four All-Americans, and with luck could have as many as six. I will be in Section 113 at the Quicken Arena.

SDSU had a fine tourney and Gross did a great job. Unfortunately, we had two guys default out with a blown knee and a dislocated thumb. Otherwise I think we would have had five AAs and finished in the top ten. I thought the tournament was excellent, some tremendous upsets and the finals had some great action. Lehigh has 9 starters back next season and some good competition in the room, so we should be better. Looking forward to the NCAAs being in Pittsburgh. Rock n' Roll HOF was also excellent!
