PHILADELPHIA - Wednesday afternoon, the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission released its watch list for the Johnny Bench Award - given annually to the collegiate baseball's top catcher - naming University of Pennsylvania junior Matt O'Neill as one the 97 baseball athletes worthy of consideration. Serving as one of this season's three captains, O'Neill has earned the respect of his teammates the past two seasons with his play both behind and at the plate. In two years of work, the junior has compiled a career .309 batting average on 84 starts, grabbing 88 hits, 52 RBIs and 11 home runs to go along with his stellar .985 fielding percentage.
