Tonight at 9pm in Chapel Hill

I was thrilled when my Wolfpack pulled out the first meeting, but I have a bad feeling about this one

Your thoughts? Predictions?

I hate the Tarholes with a passion, but it's getting down to whether or not they will be a #1 seed in the tourney and winning an ACC regular season championship. Roy will make sure they win this game, unfortunately. Hansborough has a big night with at least 25 points. The pukey T-holes win by at least 10 points.

TAR......HEELS!!!!

I can't watch, every time i've watched UNC this season they've lost(one exception was Duke) I watched Gonzaga, Va Tech(2x) and even NC State. If I look and they are winning i quickly change the channel. But I might just have to break my rule tonight...

AppGuy, we may be bitter enemies most of the year, but at least we can find common ground with NC State:).

With that said...this one will probably be a blow out. At Carolina, UNC still playing for a #1 seed, payback.....things just don't add up for the Pack. Who knows though...stranger things have happened.

Staying close benefits State greatly. UNC-CH knows they can lose to State and the longer the Pack stays in this, the better chance they have. The Pack has nothing to lose and the Heels have a #1 seed to lose which adds a lot of pressure.

My problem with Herb was inflexibility, inconsistency and lack of understanding that being an ACC head coach goes beyond X's and O's.

No meaningful in-game changes, refusal to change his system, inability to understand that beating Georgia Tech does not equal beating UNC-CH, up and down recruiting and embarrassingly weak OOC scheduling.

Don't get me wrong, Herb is a good coach and definitely left the program better than he found it. He ran a clean program and recruited well for the most part.

He will be successful at Arizona State, but he knew when to get out. This years' team will eek out a NIT bid with one more conference win. If Herb had been on the sideline, sliding back into the NIT would have been his ticket out of town.

I just think he left when he knew he'd maxed out what he could accomplish. No shame in that, best of luck to him.

away from home, they are a push IMO. NC State's starting lineup can compete with anybody in the ACC, but if foul trouble or fatigue hits, they are in trouble
