CLARKSVILLE — Suddenly, Dave Loos has a little more to worry about other than winning an OVC tournament championship.
The Austin Peay men's basketball coach has already directed his team to the regular-season title, and the No. 1 seed for the tournament. And this with three conference games still left.
Now Loos, who is also Austin Peay's athletics director, must scramble, with little time to waste, to find a new football coach.
McCray's decision to leave Austin Peay before its return to the OVC as a fully-funded scholarship football program this fall caught everyone by surprise, including Loos.
Now Loos must form a search committee, advertise the position, and answer a few dozen questions from the Govs' community on the direction of Austin Peay football.
