Lehigh has three remaining duals starting this weekend with a trip to #9 Arizona State followed the next weekend with matches against Oklahoma and Pitt on the 16th and 18th. Ranked 133 Parker and 184 Preisch made appearances at the Edinboro Open this past weekend after rehabbing serious injuries with both winning a bout and then withdrawing for precautions. They need a strong finish to gather the needeed "points" for the coaches ranking formula. Mountain Hawks have a number of other ranked wrestlers with Cruz #1 at 125, Karam at 141, Brown at 157, Wolf at 165, Kutler at 174 and Wood at 285. A dark horse will be Chris Weiler at 197 who as a freshman came off injury and had a tremendous tournament at Edinboro and has won the starting role for the remainder of the season. EIWA Tournament will be March 3 & 4 at Hofstra.

Congrats to SDSU's Seth Gross, the 1st Jacks D1 national champion. Plus a couple of other AAs.

On a side note: Bison wrestlers have crapped their pants again at Nationals. Totally pathetic showing....again. Kish needs to go as head coach.

The University of Arkansas-Little Rock announced yesterday they will begin sponsoring wrestling in 2019.

This is the second Division I school to add wrestling recently. Presbyterian will also begin a program next year.

Glad to see the sport grow, especially in the South.

Any word if Little Rock will join the SoCon, MAC or B12?

Bono has done something that’s remarkable and one of the biggest turnarounds of a program I’ve ever seen regardless of the sport. Going from rumors and talk of dropping the program to undefeated in Big XII duals, our first national champion, multiple All Americans, and top ten attendance nationally is unreal. I can understand bison fans frustration when their program isn’t living up to expectations while that turnaround happens.

Great to hear. We gain a few, but also lose one, as I hear EMU is dropping the sport. Sport needs to stretch down south and out west. I think the tourney should be held soon in Atlanta and Las Vegas to help grow interest at schools in those regions.

I saw that about EMU. Two steps forward, one step back.

I think putting nationals in Atlanta would be great. There isn’t wrestling there, but it is a major city with easy access for out of towners. If you didn’t want to go that far, Nashville could work.

I know people would complain about going to a non-wrestling market, but I think it is worth a shot.

Whoa, major move there into the big time. I guess it was inevitable due to his success, and I'm sure SDSU could not come close with anything to match what the Badgers offered. I hope the Jack Rabbits are able to get a good replacement to keep their program on the rise.

Nice of the Big 12 to give a new program a home.

It seems some guy in Arkansas with a bunch of money is backing the program. Maybe this will inspire others in the South.

Shoot. That darn Argus- if you even press on it it reduces the number of stories that you can get without subscribing. I tried to be too quick- it worked the first time but put the story at the bottom. It didn't work the second time and I ended up getting the wrong story anyway!

I always view them through tweets and it doesn’t seem to count my article views that way for some reason. I tried to subscribe once for online but it didn’t let me because I live too far away. Made zero sense and I wasn’t putting in the effort to have them fix their dumb crap.

I just delete my internet cookies for my visited websites and it resets the count on articles you can view.

I’m not a great wrestling mind but this seems like a great hire.

SDSU ranks 11th for wrestling attendance- 2,004 per dual meet.

There were more than that when I was there to to watch the Jacks beat Wyoming.
