Let me get this straight....Illinois and Delaware are west of North Dakota?
Even more confusing....Illinois State is west of...Illinois State?

Being geographically challenged and from the midwest. I'm not sure about Delaware and North Dakota issue.
But allow me to clear up the ISU confusion .. it actually makes perfect sense. What you don't know is ISU campus runs along the town of Normal's Main St (route 51 running north-south). Their senior year, Dalton Keene moved to an apartment a couple blocks east of Main St, while Davontae remained in an apartment just west of Main street. So when Shrine drew their East-West line at Main Street in Normal IL, this logically put them on opposite teams for this game.
But it gets worse ... Rumor is a very upset Davontae tried to sneak onto Dalton's lease once he learned about this, but those Shrine people are pretty sharp people and sent ICE out to forcibly remove him from Dalton's apartment .. I guess it got pretty ugly.

He was absolutely terrible. I almost feel bad for him.

sounds like UNI's Daurice Fountain made a decent showing.

Bilal Nichols from Delaware had a big hit on JT Barrett to cause a fumble and a return for a TD for the West.
He has a strong chance to be on and NFL roster next season.

Wagner's Greg Senat is the first player ever selected from the Northeast Conference. And yes, he was selected for the West. Wagner is in New York City. Congratulations Greg.

Still bitter about neither Brett Taylor nor Jaelon Acklin getting invites to any of the postseason all-star games.
Congrats to Fountain for the strong showing though.

Fountain had a great performance in the Shrine Game.
I always feel it is hard to watch those games; the offense always seems to struggle when you get a collection of players who have only played together for a week. Weineke didn't have a great game, but he wasn't really targeted much either. I think the true value of these games is the week of practices you spend with the NFL coaches.
It is fun to see more Valley representatives in this game each year; I think there were at least 5 players that I could count.
