Thanks for doing it. One suggestion if you do it again in the future. For folks who get behind a little, mathematically behind where catching the leaders is impossible, it would be nice to have a bonus score. Something like 30-50 points for picking the correct score, not just spread, in the semis and final. Just a thought. Might keep folks who are behind a little more interested.

Hey, I agree with many of you on the thanks for doing this. He has done a fantastic job of making this place way better than it would be without him here. There are many that do that by doing things like this.

So, my question is this to you ladies and gents. Why is is so hard to go over and give your contemporaries a nod in the poster of the year thread and cast a vote in their direction for making something out of nothing for you?

That would really seem like a good way to say "Thanks man!"

Based on my calculations (which I won't guarantee are right but I think they are) Sagarin's model finished the playoffs with 401.5 points which would've put it at 24th out of 83 (72nd percentile) and Massey's model finished the playoffs with 364 points which would've put it at 45th out of 83 (46th percentile).

I made the mistake early when there were a ton of games of not accurately picking the margin of victory. I don't recall exactly what I picked then but I think I randomly picked 3 point wins for those teams when I should have thought it over and chosen a higher point spread for those early games. Eh...Hard to do when you don't know much about the teams apart from their fans predictions. xlolx
