I agree with this. I think it's be useful to have a continuous thread throughout the season, allowing people to "nominate" and link to sources/threads/posts over the course of the season. Then at the end of the season, do the nominations thread pointing to the "sources" thread so people can flip through them and really see which posters ended up being deserving and actually "officially" nominate them.

Yeah, we did concede that point a year or two back and I think it was a start date of Sept. 1 the previous year? Does that seem a fair way to do it to you as well?

I'll go change the wording in the original post to reflect it if that seems fair because as you say it doesn't really seem fair to anyone joining in Nov. or Dec. of a year either.
