Agreed. I honestly wasn't very impressed with the playcalling/coaching of either team in this game.

Pretty sure you can't tackle players that don't have the ball, doesn't matter who's in possession. The JMU player may have been able to make a play on the ball or the Weber player.

There were a number of calls/non-calls for both teams that could have swung this thing either way.

Having said that, it was not one of our better games. schor looked frazzled after the pick. Playcalling was not good and we dropped some key passes. Despite all that, we still put about 550 yards on a really good defense, so there's that. As much as we needed things to break our way at the end, if a few things break our way early we probably have a pretty good lead at the half.

Very glad we have the extra day off (hopefully) to recover from that one!

Weber really showed well last night. I don't believe that the Griz played em this year. We had them in Cheney and I was not surprised at how they played. Seeing NDSU at the start of the year, watching JMU a couple of times, if thats the cream of the FCS crop, Weber is right there. Congrats to them fro a great year. They deserved a seed and an easier row to hoe.

I thought Weber made a mistake not running the ball on the first play of their final drive. Two runs, then throw on third if you have a shot. I get being aggressive but that was too much for me. I'd have run Cantwell on first and probably second too.

You might be right, but that's what most said about NDSU last year. JMU held Weber State to 40 yards of O in the first half. The second half, on the other hand, was by far the D's worst half of football. If we get that first half D we can beat anybody.

I believed they were coming into this game and thought they had a shot. Saw a few wiseasses saying no way and that they knew it all and it wouldn't be close but also saw a lot of very knowledgeable JMU and NDSU fans calling it correct as well.

If you do as Professor Chaos had mentioned and look back at a team's resume during the season including the post season then you would have to really give Weber a ton of credit for their resume this season going into this game.

Very big congrats to JMU on this wind because it truly is what a good team does and you beat a very quality team last night.

Gotta give credit to those that have actually seen them play because any other take away is foolish. I don't think they beat JMU but they match up as well as anyone out there right now.

They beat a very good SUU team playing ****ty with their turnovers and missed opportunities inside the 5. I said earlier in the year that I thought SUU had the higher ceiling over Weber but I am sure I was wrong on that after watching this last game. They didn't play well on offense and still put on a great show.

Not saying they will because JMU is really good but they could lose this one if they don't play well. Weber has a lot of weapons in the arsenal.

BTW, that was just a good piece of advice I thought I'd back Prof up on due to the out of hand nature that went on with some new guys last year and how it did not work out well for them since they poisoned the well right out of the gate. It really is a matter of someone being new and coming in being a dick...everybody here acts like a dick, no doubt about it but when it is a new poster then they stack the deck against themselves and make a target of themselves before anybody really gets to know them or their humor. I try to usually say "ease up for a bit" just to help the assimilation. Sometimes it doesn't work out as we saw last year. I would just as soon it did work out is the motivation along with the aforementioned trying to not let the playoff threads get so far out of the line of civility.

Look how long I have been on this forum. No I don’t think that at all. It seems though that when the poster expressed his opinion about being able to watch good football every weekend is when he got into trouble and the perceived “***** storm” started. I like everyone else believe there is PLENTY of posting on here about one conference vs another. In fact, I get tired of it sometimes and then just take a break from AGS.

It also doesn’t seem to matter my level of knowledge of this game that I have played and love! You and others are pissed because I’m new and have a strong opinion of my own. The fact that we are blessed enough to be able to watch the best conference in FCS play during the season gives us a perspective that you ordinary Joes just don't get! I am sorry but being brutally honest. Your JMU boys didn't play very well tonight.
There's no reason to interject MVFC rhetoric into a great game between two teams not in the MVFC. When you do it just makes you look like an attention whore. There's plenty of threads where you can slurp the MVFC, namely ones involving MVFC teams. The reason why posters from other conferences take shots at the MVFC is to bait and troll posters like you or because they were trolled by other MVFC posters. I've seen very little, if any, arguments against the MVFC being the best conference but when you start acting like your opinion is more valuable just because you watch MVFC football every week you're going to rub folks the wrong way so don't be shocked when they take shots at you.

TLDR; keep the MVFC chest pounding in MVFC threads and I won't give you (as much) ****.

The inability for you and your right hand mudslinger to address the original issue that offended you tells me several things. You are right about me not belonging on this forum. Can't debate with someone that keeps moving the goalposts. Thought maybe you would understand the sports analogy if not phone a friend.
