MVFC predictions - 1st round (all games)

Alright so to keep it short and sweet pick the winners for all 1st round games.

This will keep adding to the regular season picks and crown one grand master of the MVFC predictions.

Rules;
1. 1 point per game picked right.
2. When the time comes a total score prediction will be used for the breaking purposes for the National Championship game.

Lehigh (5-6) at Stony Brook (9-2) .. Stony Brook defense at home is enough to win; but something tells me this one is surprisingly close - Lehigh plays no defense, but can put some points up.

Western Illinois (8-3) at Weber State (9-2) .. should be close one and could go either way given Weber St has home field; but WIU is veteran road team and already proved they can play at 7,000 feet .. so 4,000 feet will not make much difference.

Monmouth (9-2) at UNI (7-4) .. If UNI QB Dunne plays and is 90%, UNI wins real big 3-4 TDs. Without him, UNI wins by 2 TDs. Monmouth can put points on board.

Central Conn. St. (8-3) at New Hampshire (7-4) .. Marty Scarano proves to be just too much for CCSU to overcome, especially with QB suspended. FYI .. MVFC's 7th place team beat CCSU by 50 and they had their starting QB then.

Samford (8-3) at Kennesaw St. (10-1) .. already played and Samford won by 5 at home, but KSU controlled game - thinking they will win 2nd time around at home by 10 points

South Dakota (7-4) at Nicholls St. (8-3) .. a banged up and somewhat depleted USD will still win by 3 TDs. Nicholls St does not belong in playoffs.

Furman (7-4) at Elon (8-3) .. already played and Elon won by 3 points on road early; Elon seems to have faded after relying on too many close wins against weak teams; while Furman seems to be getting stronger. Furman wins close one on road.

San Diego (9-2) at Northern Ariz. (7-4) .. NAU should win this easily .. thinking elevation gets to non-schollie San Diego with limited roster.

I don't think I had a voice or a normal pulse for 48 hours after that game. Was 3 hours of straight up of adrenaline. Plus we tailgated with an alumni GaSo cheerleader who got the pulse going quite a bit too.

If I only would of had the guts to actually pick San Diego would of been a sweep...We have a little family bracket deal for the FCS Championship and I got 4 wrong in this thing yesterday, one of my sons, who doesn't really follow FCS football got all the games right, ignorance is bliss when it comes to this ****. Last year, my 6 year old granddaughter won the family pool and she picked the teams based on the team names. I think I will start using that method.

A few observations from me going through the picks.

3. Next game that tripped a lot of people up was Samford vs. Kennesaw State.
