I made one last update to how I would have stacked these up if doing the lists. I feel like every top player worthy of a mention should be on here somewhere. Seeing Taron Johnson get DEF POY by Big Sky solidified what I had thought about him so I gave him a big bump. I love Johnson. He is probably the best corner in FCS just ahead of Davontae Harris, D'Montre Wade, Tremon Smith, and Rock Ya-Sin. By the way, this is the best FCS cornerback group in one season that I have ever seen.

Weber St CB Taron Johnson vs WIU WR Jaelon Acklin will be a nice little individual 1st round playoff matchup.

Omari Williams has been discussed before, but my aging eyes didn't see him listed anywhere. He has struggled with injuries, has not been 100% for quite a bit of the season, and only has 10 games of stats. Yet, his numbers compare favorably or better than several CBs on these lists. Just wondering if I missed him somewhere, or if you think he is not worthy to be even listed. Not trying to get an argument - serious question.

I used the conference pages for all but if you want to look them all up on every school website and send me a list with replaced numbers for everyone, then go right ahead. lol

Yes it will. If Acklin could have a big game while matched up on him then he could really boost his stock. I would be midly surprised if he got a combine invite but if he has a big game here and then runs well at his pro day he could possibly slide into the draft due to it.

His tape does not match his numbers. He has missed a lot of tackles and dropped some picks that an All-American should not drop. I liked his tape last year but thought he was just a guy this year. He needs to get healthy and go to an all-star game and ball out big time. I dropped him down my FCS and NFL prospect lists big time but would love to move him up. I am hearing he thinks he is going in the 3rd to 5th round range or will definitely be drafted because of prior Samford DBs getting picked. We all know that is not the case. He will be judged on his own play and from what I'm seeing on tape and hearing from clubs, he does not look like an All-American caliber player and certainly has seen his stock fall this year. Hopefully it turns around for him.

I'm with him and several others who like Parker. The award is suppose to go to the best offensive player and Parker has been the most dominant. I don't think you can say any QB or WR is by far and away the best at their position with no debate, however you can say that about Parker. Parris would have been close but he has been dinged up. Parker is the best FCS OL I have seen in the last decade.

Has an offensive lineman ever won it?

No. If voters don't at least put Parker in their top 3 then I say we need to see an award established for all offensive linemen.

If there was an OL of the year award it would definitely have to go to Parker but this year there would be some great names to challenge for a top 3-5 finish.

Just to name a few really, really, good linemen.

Brandon Parker, NCAT
Timon Parris, Stony Brook
Jamil Demby, Maine
Alex Light, Richmond
Aaron Stinnie, JMU
Matthew Schmidt, Furman
Ross Demmel, Wofford
Brody Kern, Delaware
Mitchell Sweigart, Princeton
Anthony Coyle, Fordham
Trenton Scott, Grambling
Justin Lea, Jacksonville State
John Cook, UCA
Lee Carhart, UNI
Jacob Judd, WIU
Jacob Ohnesorge, SDSU
Austin Kuhnert, NDSU
Alex Thompson, Monmouth
Skyler Phillips, Idaho State
Zach Larsen, Southern Utah
Maea Teuhema, SLU
Mitchell Watanabe, SHSU
Connor Hilland, W&M
Ethan Greenidge, Villanova

I posted an updated list of FCS players I could see getting an invite to the NFL Combine in the pros section for those who are curious. I would like to see if anyone thinks I have snubbed a name.

Careful with using the SLC website for stats. It has teams playing in 12 games and players playing in 53 games....this year. xlolx

Keelan Doss Led ALL division 1 (FCS and FBS) in # of Catches, yards, and Yards/game. Can you possibly say another receiver was better at either FCS or FBS?
