Anyone checking out the Cocks tonight?
Kickoff tonight @ 6PM Central on ESPN3.
If JSU's offense makes another no-show TSU might actually turn this into a game.

If you have a TV subscription that includes ESPN you can stream ESPN3 online through a phone, tablet, computer, or Apple TV like device at WatchESPN.
I could be wrong but it also may be on the OVC digital Network.

Will be switching between this and Nicholls at Southeastern Louisiana. TSU has some talent. JSU lets them hang around and maybe we could have an upset. Jacksonville St has been less than impressive lately. I think Grass will have them ready though, so they should win this one. Low scoring game 21-10 JSU is my pick.

Fair assessment. TSU has been solid on the defensive side and if our offense turns it over and fails to click it could get awkward.

I don’t know about 17,000. Maybe ESPN3 isn’t doing the crowd justice. Horrible pass by the TSU Quarterback. I could be wrong, but that was JSU’s first interception of the season.
And as I am writing, Tigers pick it off. Nice catch by the defender! JSU offense needs to support this stout Gamecock D!

Tennessee State has a good return to midfield, negated by a penalty. Another penalty, and a timeout to avoid delay of game, and it will be 1st and 15 for TN State at their own 5 yard line.

I don't think he's going to get much traction in the committee conference room given the quote the committee chair made in this article:
http://www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20171116103252929290604&ref=rec&tm=&src=FCS&sf173396251=1
STATS: Is a loss to an FBS opponent ever considered a negative?
RJ: Again, each committee member has to value that. I think a single loss, all of us at the FCS level typically play one FBS opponent, and I think for the most part we have not paid any attention to a single loss to an FBS team. We certainly paid attention to a win over an FBS team and to a close game against an FBS team. Just as a general rule, it hasn't negatively impacted anybody in the past by losing to an FBS opponent. Where it would get into negatively impacting someone is if you played three of those games or four because now you have four losses and you make the argument that you got beat by all FBS teams, but you also then didn't have the opportunity to play FCS teams and beat them. That's where it would hurt you, if you played multiple FBS opponents as opposed to just the one.
That really only applies to one team anywhere near the bubble this year and that's APSU.

It's a minor miracle that EIU has even won 6 games this year. Their 6 wins are by a combined 15 points (3 of them were in OT). Not one of their 4 losses was by less than 16 points.

36-6 win by the Cocks after the offense finally showed up. Defense is a beast! You had the #3 and #5 defenses playing tonight. Hitting 36 on the TSU defense is pretty good, but our offense needs a personality. It’s like a fat chick who can’t talk and smile. I think 36 on this D could keep us at #2... needed to blow this team out and we did. Oh well! Good luck to all the other teams Saturday and Sunday!

It was strong tonight. The Defense was on. I don’t know how far you guys will get with this offense though. Playoff teams will score more than your average OVC team, even though the defense has been very good.

We have 28 suites on two levels above club level you cant see on TV. We also have the 5th floor Club level. It is all glass , so a lot of our older fans stay in there for the whole game. Just counting from the 5th floor to 7th floor there are 1500 - 2000 you can't see. If the stadium seats you can see are 2/3 full, that means there are about 16,000 out side and another 2,000 inside.
Those suites are really nice. They have 20 seats per suite and their own kitchen and closed circuit TV. However, the windows do not open. Only slide outs at the top. So it is like watching a game from inside an aquarium. I also do not like the cost that comes with it.

$20,000. Basically $1,000 a person if you get to capacity of 20. They are top notch. All food is provided, soda, snacks, provided all year. You just supply your own liquor. Club level is still the best deal on Campus.

Yes. $20,000 a season for a suite. I want to say $600 a season for club. Then of course there is the pre-order $10, $15 walk up GA ticket. I would buy club level, then walk done to my normal GA spot I have always had. You can go back and forth to "refresh" your drink and get my son popcorn.

I agree with the sterile environment. If you stay inside, you are watching from behind glass. I do not enjoy that. As for the food, it is a catered meal for 2000 people. They usually have three types of meat, 5 or 6 sides, a hot dog and hamburger station beside the soups. You also have a desert station, that consist of cookies, ice cream and several cakes. 10 types of free soda, coffee, and bottled water. Some can find reason to complain about the food, I never did.

We got the same set up at The Citadel. Just to compare...our Club level came with all dinner food, snacks, desert, water/tea....only have to pay for alcohol. Then we have private boxes above the club level. Not sure how much they cost at our place, but my wife and I did the standard club level for 6 years and it was 600 for annual membership and then 800 per person per season. So it was 2200 for my wife and I. You could sit inside or sit outside in a fenced off area of the upper middle part of the stadium. Had to be about 600-800 seats. There were about 6 TV's inside as well. Also 2 bars. Some of our private boxes are open air but covered seating. Some might be closed as well. Not sure of their capacity.
The reason we quit doing it was we liked being out in the stadium. We got that, sort of, with the club level outdoor seating, but just decided to go the more inexpensive route. We liked it for a while. When we did it, they never sold out the standard club level. The year after we stopped, 2015, they sold out and are still sold out. It is a good deal. Might do it again one day...if they open up.
