Western Carolina slid in both national Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) polls this week following the rain-soaked Homecoming loss to Furman last Saturday. The Catamounts fell out of the FCS Coaches tabulations, settling at No. 27 in the “others receiving votes” category, while holding onto their national ranking in the STATS FCS media polling at No. 24.
