The Fargodome installed new video board last year. In case you didn't know, NDSU has fewer road losses than home losses over the past few years. SDSU has to be excited to play in front of a full house, assuming the local businesses are able to give away their tickets.

He was talking about how there’s only cameras on one side because the cows play in a shopping mall.

This could only be a real football game if there is an inch or more of fresh snow on the field before kickoff. Bring November in with a lion! Sadly it will all melt before the SDSU cheerleaders arrive to build a Guinness record snowman pyramid in the south end zone. Alas, Stig will need to find a new trick play to hide his 12th man defensive goalie/safety specialist. Without this trick tactic, the once locked-in 3 safety performance may be in doubt and stopping the pigskin may be comparable to catching lightning in a bottle.

Seinfeld and The Office have pretty similar styles of humor, as both use a lot of situational comedy and observational humor, plus utilized the straight man/crazy man dynamite really well. I think if a person likes one, they'll likely appreciate the other (though with the generational gap one will likely be more relatable to a person based on age).

I happened to fall between Seinfeld and The Office eras (the former concluded when I got into high school; the latter started when I wasn't really watching network TV anymore), but I thoroughly enjoyed reruns of both shows.

Ive got a slightly different question. Which will there be more of, empty seats or Green/Gold?
We know the game sold out quickly and I’d like to see how many of those surplus tickets ended up in the hands of our fans. I’m guess somewhere around 1k for NDSU, but just a guess.

But there is also this: SDSU can do whatever it wants with its tickets. If Sell and the athletic department want to sell them, they can. If they want to give them away to Jackrabbits fans, they can. If they want to burn them in a pile, they can. SDSU is under no obligation to make tickets available to opposing fans.

Do you understand what a sellout is? That means you sold all the tickets before the event.

Do you know what attendance is? It's the number of people who purchased those tickets who show up.

So yes, this was a sellout and no, attendance will not be 19,400. Sales and attendance are two different things. Some people with tickets do not show. For example, me. Couldn't get out of town.

I agree on those plays. Of course there have been a couple of tough penalties called on both teams. I just wish the officials would generally let them play. I imagine it's tough for players to adjust when things aren't consistent. Doesn't seem like they have been so far.

The difference is, SDSU is blatant and still getting to the QB. That is what is frustrating since if they called 3 or 4 in a row, it would change the dynamics of the game quickly and force SDSU into a game they do not want to be in.

I have no idea what NDSU needs to do. They can’t throw a pass without getting held or interfered with. They cant get to the QB because they’re getting held...every play. I guess become one dimensional and run the ball the entire game?

I agree. Why did NDSU get away from the running game? That first drive was a thing of beauty, mixing it up. Perhaps SDSU has sold out to stop the run, but that hasn't ever seemed to stop the Bison power game before.

When the refs become biased towards one team, it is impossible to beat them. If they called the blatant holds on SDSU, you would still have the ball on the 1st drive of the game at your own endzone. That is not saying our secondary looks like hot garbage with the weak coverage being played. They need to step up or they will continue to be walked all over.


TLDR;

I can accept that. I don't think officials set out to change the outcome of the game. Aside from that, SDSU seems to want to play "our QB is better than your QB." That doesn't mean Stick won't come out and burn it up in the second half, but so far, Taryn has gotten the better of that.

As a Jacks fan, I wouldn't be comfortable up by 50 at half. So I'm definitely not comfortabe up 10. A lot of game left and Bison typically dominate the 3rd quarter.

If it were me as the defensive coach I play with 3 linemen, and occasionally blitz with an extra CB. If the refs are killing you, might as well try to win the game.

On offense run the ball more, with more misdirection on the throws. Try to find open receivers.
