The three stat lines that jumped out at me were Jensen, Guerriero, and Cheek (Elon QB). 3 Defensive TDs for McCain though is a pretty big deal that I missed the first time through.

Jensen has put up pretty big numbers this year, especially considered he's only started 4 or 7 games, and really only played in 4.5 of the 7.

I'd have Jabril Cox at the top of this list. NDSU lives off depth that thrives on experience, so to have a freshman lead the team in total tackles, solo tackles, tackles for loss and sacks is quite an accomplishment. This is especially considering he's playing for one of the best defenses in the country.

Deluca is a legit if healthy middle rounds NFL draft pick. It took him a couple years and injury to crack the starting lineup.

Bright future for Cox. Our defense is complicated for the LBs. Just him having the defense down this early is impressive.

I'm going to disagree with you some here. First off, the uptempo offenses are generally pretty simplistic as they are designed to move quick. If you can get 11 players on the same play with some signals or pictures you aren't running a very thick playbook.

Second, I studied Stitt's offense some the years we played you guys. Basically every play has 4 options, run (usually a draw,), zone pass, man pass, and something else (screen, ect). Basically your QB has to count the numbers in the box to decide on the RPO, then decide if it's man or zone. Add in checking for a blitz to go to say the screen. Then he gets the ball and gets the ball to wherever his pre-snap reads said.

I'll give you I haven't watched him yet, and if he's making the right reads and getting the ball to the right spot, good on him. I just wouldn't call it complicated. There's no comparison. When Gus was on, he was fantastic; however, he could be maddeningly inconsistent in his decisions and throws. Jensen of course still makes Freshman mistakes, but overall I believe he will go down as a superior talent at QB.

I wish Big Sky games were broadcast on ESPN 3. Unfortunately, the conference has an agreement with Root Sports, which I believe precedes the posibility of ESPN streams. Games not on Root are available for streaming online, but I cannot remember the site.

This....Jensen's running ability makes him so much more affective than Gus ever was.....it kills defenses. He already has 4 rushing TDs and the kid is built like a LB.

UNH running back Deunte Chatman might be in the mix but for the fact that he's been fighting for playing time with three other backs. At 6'0" 218 with 4.46 speed he was projected to play LB until Trevon Bryant was lost for the season. In the four games that he's touched the ball he has 42 carries for 325 yards, 7.8 yards per carry, and last week against Towson when the other three RB's were all sitting out with injuries he had 22 carries for 187 yards and 2 TDs. He's also caught 4 passes for 24 yards.

Mac McCain is on this list for his passes defended, INT's and Pick-6's he's had. Leaving INT's and Defensive TD's scored off this list make the DB's, as a whole, feel out of place.
