Read that U of Florida is having special uniforms made for special occasions that mimic alligator skin with specially designed scales. Higher education wonders why there is cynicism about budget requests. Sad.

It would be interesting to hear who paid for them. If private donors paid for them then there is nothing to complain about. If it came out of public sources than there should be some questions being asked.

I'd be very surprised if these weren't from donor money. The donor bases for schools like UF are MASSIVE.
Either way, as much money as UF makes off football I'm not sure new unis are really a "waste".

1. If UF paid for them at all it was 100% private funding, and then some.
2. IF UF paid for them is key.
3. UF's contract with Nike could/probably has a clause of a certain amount of uniforms/equipment free.

My bet is they didnt pay a dime. Just another test market like the combat uni . Far some reason the kids of today love that crap and schools jump on it as a recruiting tool.

Not only did they probably not buy them, they can sell them for good money usually after the game as well I believe.
They are terrible for sure.

I thought it was donor money. I don't see a problem then.

I personally don't see the benefit of all these uniforms.
The Citadel needs to change their mascot to Bridesmaids, as they never wear the same uniform twice in a season at home.

I like the idea of having alternative uniforms, but a combination where you couldn't wear the same combination in a season is a little too much (let alone 10 seasons like Oregon).
Wofford wears the same helmets and pants and we only flip between the home/away white/black. I'd love to see us one day come out in gold jerseys and black pants and black helmets or something inverting that at least once.

We do have all-black outfits, but they are cursed and never to be worn again.
