2017-10/14 AGS GOTW Week 7

Here is the list I came up with this week:

Eastern Washington Eagles
Montana State Bobcats* T
* Can MSU try to do the power game and good D to stop EWU this week? It is an interesting matchup.

James Madison Dukes
Villanova Wildcats
* Big game, easy inclusion for me here.

North Dakota State Bison
Youngstown State Penguins
* See reason above.

The Citadel Bulldogs
Wofford Terriers
* Two teams trying to do the same thing and Wofford wins just barely so could the Terriers get bitten by the Bulldogs this week? Very possible.

Weber State Wildcats
Southern Utah Thunderbirds
* Utah, you don't get this much but two teams that have done well so far at a combined 6-1 record against FCS competition. SUU can play damn good run D when they want to so how does this shake out?

The JMU and NDSU games are the ones.

I voted for NDSU @ YSU. Game carries more weight towards the playoffs IMO.

Ndsu ysu and JMU VU are the two big ones. I’d say ndsu ysu is bigger though.

They’re actually similar in that it’s a typical top end team in the conference trying to avoid a second conference loss against the current favorite.

I voted NDSU vs Youngstown strictly because of where the teams sit in the polls. But I am really interested in the Citadel vs Wofford game. Not only 2 teams who want to do the same things and win the same way, but because Wofford has played so many close games and Citadel really needs a win. I think that will be a very close game and a great one to watch.

Another week, another instance of there being at least two games that I would like to vote for.

Coin flip between JMU/Nova and NDSU/YSU. Due to the MVFC not allowing the NDSU game to be simulcasted to NDNBC, I'm protesting anything to do with the game.

Or I just think the CAA game will be a bigger implication on the playoffs :)

Both YSU and VU are fighting to remain near the top of their respective conferences instead of suffer a second conference loss and fall closer to the middle of the pack. A loss for either will likely guarantee no seed in the playoffs.

Wofford-Citadel is perhaps the potential trap game of the week, but other than it doesn't deserve to be in the conversation

I went with JMU/Nova, but obviously both are huge games. I'm usually a MVFC "homer" but I do like both JMU and Nova in general, Gameday will be there, and it's another opportunity to showcase some quality FCS football.
