What's wrong with Ryan Leaf?
He may have been a bust in the NFL and has said some crazy things over the years, but he has been around the block, even coaching at a Div II school in football-crazed West Texas.
Good guy, who even went back to school to complete his bachelors degree work. That's amazing considering all those around the sports world who have failed to do that..

Grambling could lure Ryan Leaf to coach quarterbacks
By Nick Deriso
[email protected]
Grambling State's biggest catch on National Signing Day might not be a prep prospect.
Former No. 2 NFL Draft pick Ryan Leaf is on campus, apparently to interview for first-year GSU coach Rod Broadway's open position overseeing quarterbacks.
Broadway did not name the candidate, but confirmed that he was interviewing a prospect for quarterbacks coach today. That's the only spot on his staff not currently filled.
Leaf arrived at the football offices moments later.

Going back to school to complete a bachelors degree makes him a good guy?? Did you ever see/hear his rants in the locker rooms and on the field in college and in San Diego?? The guy was a loner on every team he's played on for a reason. No one likes him. He is a used douche. He will be nothing but a cancer for a program like GSU. Let him coach in Div II or high school for another couple decades so that we don't ever have to hear about him again.

A T.O type as a college coach. Coach Robinson needs to put a stop to this right now. I know this is unrelated but I hope Wade Phillips can run Owens off before traning camp starts.

There was a big ESPN Outside the Lines special on him last weekend in preparation of the super bowl. Comparing where he is and where the #1 pick from that year is (P. Manning). He apparently had an awakening and no longer is the crazy person we all know.
You Montana and MSU guys will love the next thing he said.
They asked him what his goals are and his exact words were "To be a head coach in my home state of Montana at either Montana or Montana State."

Leaf had said in his interview with Outside The Lines on ESPN that he "would love to go back home and hopefully coach at MSU or UM possibly in the future"
im pretty sure they dont hav any interest in him but still
the QB at West Texas A&M that LEaf coached was a DII all american this year.
he obviously knows what he is doing but just couldn't translate that into a successful or even moderately decent NFL career

go here, all who are not from montana. We've all heard his desires to come back to montana. but its like an abusive husband who wants to come back to his wife. He hurt us Montanans and threw us under, he will NOT coach in this state at the D1 level.
