it's obviously early to say anything, but if they lose one more, they're 9-2 and an at-large from a weak conference. i did say "potentially", didn't say "guaranteed". it is possible. they are not guaranteed to win every other game.

Absolutely embarrassing. Our team is outrageously soft. We can push around Nicholls and HBU, but we can't get away with that when playing a real team. The Kats will win out, make the playoffs and then get slapped around in the quarterfinals.

I was very unimpressed with the QB play on both sides of the ball in the SHSU/UCA game.

UCA: The Bears picked up some off the radar players this off season. Cedric Battle has stepped up BIG for the bears in the run/pass/return game. UCA has only attempted 105 passes with Hayden Hildebrand hitting 70% and no they are not 5 yard screen passes. The DLine has put enough pressure on QBs to alter game plans even with all the injuries that put two starters out for the year. UCA went something like 2/10 on third downs..very unproductive and I can think of 3 of them where they should have converted but the pass was dropped in open space.

SHSU: Briscoe didn't look right. He was hit at least 6 times from rushes coming from the same side. At least 4 or 5 passes he threw went straight to a UCA player but were not intercepted. At least 3 times I saw Briscoe holding his arm after getting crushed. The Oline did him no favors. There was a lot of noise coming from the Kats sideline early in the game. Not sure what that was but even the students in that section got quiet to watch it. The Sammy fans got vocal late in the game. That was impressive. Wish our fans knew how to do that.

Officials: If a defender breathed on a receiver the flags came out. I know Sam fans were frustrated as well. Where do we get these guys from?

If he's truly hurt, Keeler needs to replace him. We are talented enough, and have a good enough back-up, to win out. If he is fully healthy in the playoffs, let him have his senior moment ala Carson Wentz.
