Brown’s 140th season of intercollegiate football kicks-off on Saturday, September 16 against Bryant at Brown Stadium in coach Phil Estes’ 20th season at the helm. Estes has coached the Bears to three Ivy League titles and finished in the top half of the Ivy League in 16 of his 19 seasons. Phil’s 112 career wins (112-77) are 10th in Ivy League history, while his 76 career Ivy wins are the most ever at Brown and sixth in the Ivy record book. There will also be a familiar face on the opposing sideline - former Ivy League Player of the Year James Perry ’00, who led the Bears to the Ivy title in 1999. His banner is hanging under the home grandstand at Brown Stadium.
