NATCHITOCHES – Head coaches Jay Thomas of Northwestern State and Skip Holtz of Louisiana Tech spoke briefly in the parking lot outside Aillet Stadium late Saturday night, in a chance meeting as both were heading home after their teams collided in the 2017 season opener won with a fourth-quarter surge by the Bulldogs.
