Announced yesteday that the Phils signed Brett Meyers to a three year deal to avoid arbitration scheduled next week. Getting somewhere in the mid-20's million for the three years. If he keeps his head screwed on right, he can become a dominant pitcher. Fightin's are lookin' tough for '07!

Not this year. It's been a long time since I've sensed this level of optimism and confidence in Philadelphia about an upcoming baseball season.

The Braves will return to the top of the NL East in 2007. The closer situation seems to have resolved itself and with Chipper and Andruw thumping the Braves will start a new streak.

The only thing Chipper is going to "thump" is his ex-wife's lawyer!

Gonzo is awesome, I think you guys will love him in Atlanta. I guess he is gonna be a set up man with ole Bob Wicky down there. Young, great arm, he was a fan fav in the 'burgh.
I also saw you guys got Craig Wilson, I dont know how much he will play with that guy coming up, but he always got a bad deal here. He is supposed to be a really good person and i wish him the best, as well as Gonzo even it is with the bravos

Not sure if my fellow alum citdog will like me anymore but I hail from Philly and am looking forward to next baseball season. The Phils may FINALLY be ready to make a run. The Phils have something common with EL CID, the last time they went to the World Series was right after EL CID won their last SOCON. Maybe both things will change this year.

Being from Pittsburgh, I do not have a great fondness for the Fightn's. However, I think they will do very this season... the true key to their season will fall upon former Buccos Randel Simon and Abe Nunez :eyebrow: :smiley_wi xlolx xlolx xlolx : smh : : smh :
Bucs vs. Fightn's in NLCS :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:
