I can't wait to hear what Johan says about it. Wondered if he told George just to go out and take the stage...

I bet Lance is happy. Gained on some of his foes including 1'24" on Ullrich and his general won a stage in the mountains...

Johan: "we won the toughest stage, we have the yellow and the white...not bad for a "weak" team"

Barring an injuries, crash, or natural disaster...I don't see how there is any way Lance loses.

They have one last H.C. climb on Stage 16 (Tuesday, Col d'Aubisque) + 2 4's, a 3, and a 1. But considering tomorrow is an off day...and the stage ends on a flat...I can't see the race getting out of Disco's control.

Stage 17 is pretty flat,

Stage 18 and 19 move the riders into the Massif Central, but it is just some cat 2's, 3's, and 4's...nothing they can't handle.

Stage 20 is the time trial...the only person to beat Lance in an ITT this Tour is Zabriskie (no longer in the race). Armstrong could/should put no less than a minute more into the rivals (I think you will really, really, see him hammer this one...it will be his last time trial...and his last real chance to win an individual stage of the Tour de France...ever...he has yet to take stage this race...minus the TTT).

...and Stage 21 will just be (another) victory lap on the Champs Elysees.

Kinda sad really...less than a week 'til Lance hangs up the bike...he should do like wrestlers when they retire (not 'rasslers, wrestlers) and take off his shoes and leave them on the Champs Elysees.

ya know the cute Credit Lyonnais podium girls at the end of each stage? ...George married one of them ;) (wife Melanie and daughter Julia Paris)

some interesting facts...
George is the first Tdf individual stage winner from team Postal/Discovery besides Lance since 1999 (that goes to show that the team is truly working for Lance at all times).

Hincapie became the 8th American (USA) with an individual stage win, joining Greg Lemond, Davis Phinney, Jeff Pierce, Andy Hampsten, Lance Armstrong, Tyler Hamilton, and Dave Zabriskie.
