Wow. Down 34 points late in the 3rd quarter, Bruins storm back with five TD's to beat Texas A&M, 45-44. Had the clicker going hot and heavy as the VA Tech/WVA game was on as well. Glad the missus has her own TV to what her "Masterpiece Theatre"...What I saw was a masterpiece.

Yeah, I started watching in 3rd quarter. I thought the game was over...Epic collapse. Yeah, the A&M QB went down, but it was the same defense.

Did you really see the deflected pass that ended up as a TD? And the fake spike? xlolx

Not a UCLA fan but the few people I know that went to A and M are Dbags and well, Manziel, so this was awesome.

I had turned it off before half and started watching the VT game. My buddy told me to flip back over in the fourth and I about spilled my drink.

Congrats to UCLA. RIP Sumlin.

I switched back and forth between this game and VA Tech v West Virginia. In the fourth quarter when you are way up, with your #1 QB out and knowing that Rosen can light it up when he has the ball, do you run a hurry up offense? At times they were snapping the ball with 20 plus seconds on the play clock. Terrible clock management that played into UCLA's hands.

I thought that the Gophers were the only ones who could blow huge leads like that.

I didn't notice the fake spike, I just thought it was a regular play

My dad and I saw that score (at the time 44-17) and decided to watch the WV/Tech game instead. That was a good one as well that went down to the wire. Couldn't believe it when I switched back. Hopefully they put it on a replay as we missed it! That was an epic come back.

Josh Rosen's college tenure has fascinated me. Golden boy as a freshman, then gets injured and loses his luster, only to lead that comeback. Darnold vs. Rosen, if we get to see it this year, may be insane.

One more note: UCLA and Texas A&M have similar fan bases - both expect more out of their programs than they have historically produced. Neither are a blueblood. Aside from last year, Mora has done a good job at UCLA, and a big bite from the injury bug explains what happened to them last year. They didn't give up on Sunday night, and for a coach on the hot seat, that should count for something, at least for now.

Sumlin, on the other hand, basically has no way back. When a Board of Regents member publicly states he will vote to fire you, it's over. That, too is a shame, as Sumlin has been the most consistently productive coach A&M has had since R.C. Slocum's early days. As a millennial, 8-5 is about where I think Texas A&M should be, as they are a mid-tier program alongside Arkansas in a division with one unquestioned blueblood and two teams in the very next tier below (Auburn and LSU). Chad Morris would not do any better.
