MVFC week 1 predictions

I will be taking over for Thumper this year on the MVFC picks.

My intent is to make this simple.

Here are the rules.
1. Games must be picked 30 minutes before kick off of the game picked.
2. Playoffs will count but I havent figured out the rules yet.
3. 1 point per game picked correctly.
4. If you change a pick before the deadline of one game but after the deadline of another game quote your previous post so that way I can verify that you didn't change other games.
5. You will win exactly nothing...Except a larger ego:D

Last year's winner was Thumper after I pissed away a almost insurmountable lead.

100% agree with above including the only toss game being EIU at ISUb .. though still taking ISUb. Not ruling out UNI beating Iowa St, but not looking like the year that will happen again.

2 games I am most looking forward to seeing how they do are UNI and YSU .. given the obvious questions going into this season.

So Keepers site is posting weekly predictions. Not sure how their ranking system works compared to other statistical/formula driven systems, but just the mere fact that they capture lost starters and production, puts them a big step ahead of ones that don't early in season.

Interestingly, they have YSU losing by just 5 to Pitt, despite everything YSU loss on defense and top 2 RBs. UNI is predicted to lose by just 12 to Iowa State. These 2 games, along with InSU/EIU and WIU/Tenn Tech will be most significant games in determining how strong MVFC is this year. If YSU and UNI competes well, in what any reasonable person would expect a down year or a slow start .... and InSU wins .. and WIU handles Tenn Tech easily (2+ TDs) .. that would be a very solid indication as weekly data points go.

Also assumes my ISUr and USD win easily over PFL (4+ TDs)
