Princeton's John Lovett apparently out because offseason surgery did not heal properly. No word on availability for 2017 season.

Tough news for Lovett and Tigers. Do hope " indefinitely" is not code for season.

If he's not ready by game 3, then he will have to sit out the entire season to qualify for a medical redshirt. My understanding is that if you appear in game 4 or later for even a down, you lose your medical redshirt eligibility in the Ivy.

A great player and a great kid. But a full recovery is the most important thing. Good that they are taking their time.

Sort of. Penn's Justin Watson is now the clear front runner for the 2017 Bushnell.
But he won't win if Penn can't find a QB to get him the ball.
