On Thursday of last week, I bought the College Hoops 2K7 game, unfortunately, it has J.J. Redick on the cover but that's OK I can overlook that disgusting detail. That is the only thing I can say bad about it.

College Hoops 2K7 is an amazing game with exciting new features that would make most AGS fans very happy. It now features the Mid-Major Poll and it has Bracketology projections for the NCAA Tournament. I went through as season but did not save it just to see what it looked with the Bracketology and it was great. Maybe it was because of my small television but everything was divided into quarters so I was not able to see the teams featured but that is very minor.

Of course I chose Western Kentucky as my open career dynasty and I am currently 11 - 0 with the most important win of all 62 - 28 victory over Eastern Kentucky. Yes you read it right 28 points. My defense was on fire in that game as Western outscored Eastern 31 - 8 in the 2nd half. I was able to upset Florida by 13 and beat Tennessee by 17.

If I was to rate the game it would definitely be 5 very huge STARS!!!! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

It is the BEST basketball game I have ever played! Comments are welcomed. :)

I've played one season of 2K7...

Took SHSU to the round of 32. Had a tough loss.. In my second season, made it to the Preseason Tip-Off Finals before losing to North Carolina...

Having a lot of luck getting some worldly recruits...

I have the PS2 version...

I know most of the new features were on the other systems, but I do love the new look and feel of the game...

I have the PS2 version also. I can actually play some defense without even trying. I am about to start the conference season so I hope I have as good of luck as I did in the non-conference part.

I need to get this game. I really enjoyed College Hoops 2k5 and still play it.

I have the XBox and will probably be keeping it for a while instead of upgrading to a 360 because I want to get a MacBook.

Keep the updates coming.

Only thing with Hoops 2K7 is if you do a closed mode, your never going to get out of your conference or out of your school. Some of the SLC teams and low-majors, I can blow out of the water as my recruiting is just so much more superior to theirs (I get all three-stars while they're picking up two and one stars).

I think if I ever get a national title or atleast advance far enough with SHSU, I may end my season and start one where I can move on up the ladder from one job to another...

I have two quick questions.

Do they call us "UNI Panthers" or "Northern Iowa Panthers" (it seems different every game) and what is UNI's rating? I swear if it is still crappy...

Do they have the arena's for the "Mid-Major" teams or just the ordinary generic gym?

They have more venues in this game, but no, Texas State's venue does not have a wall at one end if my memory serves right nor does Texas-Arlington play on 'The Stage'...

Definitely more venues that make it seem more realistic. The courts are all right on for the most part...

It is the Northern Iowa Panthers and they are picked to finish 4th in the conference. There rating I think is about 82 or 83. Wichita State, Southern Illinois, and Creighton are higher rated.

I have considered what you said. I am trying the career mode right now. It was tough to choose a team that I liked, but I decided on the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions and doing pretty well. I always start at the starter leve because I am not familiar with the game and how it will work out and then get onto higher level as I finish the season. I was struggling at first going 1 - 4 with losses to Creighton, Nevada, Nebraska, and Air Force. My lone win was to Fresno State. Then the tide turned as I went to New Mexico State and won at the time they were nationally ranked. My confidence has grown to 17 straight wins and now I am at 18 - 4 and running over the SWAC Conference at 13 - 0, with my next game at Texas Southern. The toughest teams are Jackson State and Alabama State in the SWAC and won by small margins to both teams. I have already beaten Alabama State twice and will play a 2nd game with Jackson State later.

They wasn't lying to you. I only bought for it $19.99. It is very inexpensive. You will love the Bracketology feature, I guarantee it.

In season two with the Kats...

Just fell to Texas Tech at home (to add to my loss to UNC). What I've done is do some of the real home-and-homes plus set up my own home-and-homes or two for ones based on what I'd like to see. When I do "guarantee games", I make sure to incorporate them with a home-and-home. For instance, when I played at Wisc-Milwaukee, I scheduled Wisconsin or when I played Loyola Marymount, I have a game against California. SHSU does that (UC-Irvine and UCLA, Southern Miss/Alcorn St), so I mirrored it...

The Golden Lions won the SWAC regular season championship with a
(17 - 1) record and a (23 - 6) overall record. I lost to Texas Southern in the conference semi-final, considering that Texas Southern was the only team I lost to in the regular season it should be no surprise, but the only reason I lost to them is because my starting C broke his hand in the 1st round game with Mississippi Valley and would be out for 30+ days and that ruined me. I thought that I might have an outside chance at an at-large berth but that was not to be with a RPI in the 60s. So I did not make the Field 64, Texas Southern ended up winning the conference tournament and that tears me up.

I am currently in 2nd year with Arkansas-Pine Bluff and I am 7 - 5 with losses to Arkansas, Indiana, Baylor, LSU, and Hawaii. Considering that I lost the first three games, winning 7 of the last 9 is not so bad. I played Hawaii twice and splitting the series and just defeated Nebraska to go to 7 - 5. I also won an in-season tournament, the South Padre Island Invitational, with wins over Howard and Northwestern State. I also defeated 3 other Southland Conference teams Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, and Nicholls State. I am about to enter the conference part of my schedule with Alabama A&M.

That's my update.

im doing just an open mode, and picked the Griz. I created myself as a player and also edited andrew strait(starting PF/C) to make the griz a respectable 85 overall. I have played NBA 2k6 and 2k7 and college hoops 2k6 for a very very very long time, so ive been playing on the MOP rating. I barely beat VA Tech last night(five points) it took 60 from me(the virtual player) and i no doubt will soon fall to a decent wazzu team that i scheduled. currently im ranked 12th in the nation at 3-0

I finished Season 2 with Arkansas-Pine Bluff and finally got over the hump and won the conference tournament and was seeded 12th in the Detroit region against Georgia Tech. Georgia Tech's rating was 91!!!  That sent me running for the hills as my team rating was only 65. I competed valiantly in the 1st half so I was only down by 12, but the bottom fell out in the 2nd half and ended up losing 69 - 97. I finished the season winning 20 out of the last 21 to a (27 - 7) record. I also finally made a breakthroughs in recruiting. I finally got a 4-star recruit to come. It took a lot of effort to get this recruit. My rating went up to a 69 to start year 3 and picked to finish tied for 2nd in the conference with Alabama State. I tweeked the schedule they originally gave and changed tournaments, added and deleted teams from the schedule. I felt that my team deserved a home game earlier than the end of December so I got Missouri State for a home game on 12/1, added games @ Hofstra, Jacksonville State, Boise State, a tournament game versus Kentucky. It will be a interesting year 3 for the team.

I have really revved it up for Season 3. I just defeated #25 Kentucky in the Puerto Rico Shootout 59 - 54. I had a 15 point-lead at one point during the game. Next for me will be #23 Minnesota (9 - 1) . Arkansas-Pine Bluff is currently (9 - 1) on the season. My only loss was to Missouri 80 - 92 and they dominated from the opening tip even though I made it respectable in the 2nd half. This was my 1st time beating a ranked team!
 :hurray:  :hurray:

I finished the Puerto Rico Shootout undefeated as I beat #23 Minnesota
84 - 68 then beat Air Force for the championship. I am now 11 - 1 in Season 3 and about to start the conference part of the schedule.

Update on my 2K7 season. I have completed Season 3 and it was a successful one. I swept the regular season and conference tournament championships and won 30 straight games before losing in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament. I finished the season ranked 12th in the nation and got a 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but I ran into a streaking Siena team out of the MAAC and lost 81 - 85 in the 1st round. Connecticut ended up winning then national championship that year. I finished Season 3 with a (32 - 2) record. I recruited pretty good and now I am midway through season 4 and I am at (14 - 3) and riding an 8-game winning streak and ranked #3 in the Mid-Major poll. I am 4 games away from winning my 100th game. My all-time record is 96 - 18. My season 1 record was (23 - 6) and season 2 was (27 - 7). I defeated Season 2 champion Alabama as my upset of the year thus far 71 - 70 in Tuscalossa in Season 4.
