... aTm is feeling angry after their former conference-mates (especially the Shorthorns) decided not to schedule them anymore during the regular season. Are there more guarantee games for the Aggies coming against both G5 and the FCS?

In a word, yes, TAMU will play more G5 and FCS games in the future but not because B12 teams refuse to play them. Guarantee games are part of the SEC scheduling model.

The SEC plays an eight game conference schedule. Schools are required to schedule one additional P5 opponent. Most SEC schools fill out their schedules by playing one FCS school and two G5's.

It is a profitable formula that allows more home games each year. As one of your linked articles notes, TAMU now generates more revenue and more bottom-line profit than it's former B12 rival in Austin.

Here are links to TAMU's future FB OOC games. Note that TAMU and LSU follow the same pattern 1 P5, 2 G5's, 1 FCS

Speaking of realignment, I saw this picture on Twitter today. It reminded me of how much more I liked the Big 8 and the Southwest Conference before they merged.

I've always liked the look of football helmets and jerseys. That is probably why I've collected hundreds of college baseball caps. Helmets take too much room.
