Lehigh defeated a tough Harvard team, 31-10 and Brown 30-15 this afternoon before a good crowd of about 1800 at Grace Hall. Mountain Hawks benefitted from three falls and a default against the Crimson who were favored to win 5-6 bouts. Though it didn't affect the outcome, #2 ranked Bode Ogunwole at 285 had to default due to an elbow injury. Bout was scoreless in first period when he fell on his arm during a scramble by the edge of the mat. No word on severity.
Against Brown, Lehigh's Trevor Chinn at 149 suffered a similar elbow injury while leading 8-3 in the third period and had to default. Again, severity at this time not known. Key is getting back, in shape, by Easterns on March 2. Lehigh got falls from Fisk (125), Nakasone (157), and Cassidy (197). Weibel was upset at Hwt, when he tried a throw, slipped and landed on his back.
Against Harvard, Lehigh got falls from Fisk (125), Naksone (157), Helfrich (174).
