This is the reason why so many people don't like Duke. I love how the ACC releases this after the game. Great guys, state the obvious.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference admitted Friday that a timing error was made in the closing seconds of No. 10 Duke's 68-66 win over Clemson (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today, No. 19 AP).
Coordinator of basketball officials John Clougherty said the ACC reviewed the game video and discussed the clock controversy with the officials, Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Clemson coach Oliver Purnell.

This happens all the time at Duke, sadly

I agree, I have no problems with Duke, but the preferential treatment they get drives me crazy.
Is the guy who runs the clock provided by the home team? I would assume so. Maybe they should go to sending an extra referee to manage the timeclock and cut down on things like this.

Gotta hand it to Oliver Pernell. He told his team to get over it, and to play better so that this sort of thing can't happen.
Basically, he told them that life ain't fair, and to deal with it. Nice to see a coach teaching maturity and accountability, regardless of the circumstances.

Because Pernell knows the timing error was partly his fault. No way a coach lets that happen with raising hell. Rat Face would have been all over the refs if the roles were reversed

Rat Face would never have had this problem in the first place.

The people who run our scorer's table are members of the athletic department.

Exactly, but then again, Duke is the one who supposedly "exudes class". Reverse the roles and you'd never hear the end of the whining.

What, Ratface whine about a bad call. No, if things really get bad he'll just take a season off and let the losses pile up on someone else's resume and then run em off when he comes back.:nonono2:

Well just wait until North Carolina steam rolls them. Not much you can complain about when you lose by 20.

Can't wait to see it. Their first meeting is in Cameron. UNC needs to make sure they are up enough so the clock operator won't help decide their fate.

Nope, Virginia will take care of them first on Thursday...I hope. Man, that would feel good.

Finally Duke doesn't have a shot to win it all, Coach K knew this & thus their schedule hasn't been grueling this year. Clock mismanagement during that game was embarassing.

dook's out of conference games are starting to become pathetic. They don't travel and they don't play tough competition.:twocents:
