oh man thats cold. but funny

It's not the least bit funny, especially when some of those comments were directed at a guy who lost his wife and son in the storm. Until you've gone through it or know people who have, you have no freakin' idea!!!

You know, living in Arkansas we saw countless refugees move here and even make their homes here permanently. I have heard stories of watching loved ones get swept away to their deaths. I have been a bear fan since 1985, my youth, and have kept with the team all these years. I don't blame them for this. But that classless fan should have been punched for that...punk.....not funny in the least.:nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2: :nonono2:

That sign was not photoshopped. Several friends of mine who went to the game saw it and it was photographed many times. The letters are construction paper cut outs taped or pasted to a poster, that's why they hang off the bottom.

I live in/near CHicago...I dont think that sign was funny at all, but remember this, Chicago is a FOOTBALL TOWN...all we heard about was how the Saints are Americas Team and how they were destined to win because of Hurricane Katrina...Although extremely tragic, the Katrina card was played WAY TOO MUCH for that football game...so of course some fans have no class, and after being absolutely tired of hearing about the team of Destiny (Saints) someone in a group of 65,000 was bvound to make a sign like that...Of couse all Bears fans are not classless, just 1 in particular

I'm a season ticket holder for the Browns and our fans are probably the meanest in the whole NFL. (we're always in a bad mood):eyebrow: We tailgate every week and some of the stuff that goes on against the other team and their fans is just really really cold and vicious.

But I have NEVER seen anything like that! If I was a Saints Fan there I would have had to rip that thing up and take my chances.

You would have ended up in a hospital in intensive care.

Not talking smack, just stating a fact. Us Chicagoans are split on baseball, but we are all the same on football.

Okay, so, I feel compelled, call me heartless, call me cruel...

With a hurricane, you have DAYS to prepare. And what do I mean by prepare? LEAVE THE DAMN CITY! If you chose to stay, and something happened to you I have absolutely ZERO sympathy for you. Note, it is completely different had you wanted or were unable to leave. But when I watch the news before storms and see the stupid ass southerner going "ohh, I've riden out so many of these, its no big deal" I honestly couldn't care less if your house blows down.

Every region in the US has dangerous weather we have to cope with. In the Midwest it is tornadoes. You don't see the south, or the east getting all concerned when a tornado rampages Iowa City. Hell, the news probably doesn't even report it there. But I'm supposed to donate money to people who were too darn stupid to get out of New Orleans when they had three days warning?

Now, I truely feel sorry for people that did leave and their house was ruined. I feel sorry for families that lost pets. I feel sorry for families that had no way to escape and died.

I'll prepare to be beaten alive now...

I agree 100% and to add one more thing. I have no sympathy for the people in general. I understand it has been a town for ever. But to build your houses in flood planes and even below sea level. Maybe being from the mountains makes me an idiot but it sure doesn't take a genius to decide: Let me see, should I build my house on that hill over there, or should I build a bunch of earthen channels to hold the water back and build below the river?

One thing I would not do if a tornado came through and killed your family is to make a stupid sign making fun of their deaths or what caused their deaths. I would not even consider the idiot who made the sign funny at all. And what the F#CK is worth a damn thing in IOWA? What sadistic ancestry would have their posterity be tortured in such a wasteland? Actually I feel worst for those in Iowa than in Louisiana. I'll send you donations to get you the hell out of there. Poor things. :(

I agree with cruni on this one.

When hurricanes came by Coastal, I went inland. It's a novel idea.

When we have tornados here in the midwest, we are not given days notice, maybe 20 minutes at the most. I go in my basement, or if I am driving I go in a ditch or go in a store and go where they tell me to go.

You do what you're told to do. It's a novel idea.

I would much rather lose my house and my crap inside it then stay there and watch myself get blown to smithereens, or get impailed on a tree branch, drown etc.

Some people honestly can't get out or get far enough from the storm. Many people stay in thier homes beliving hey can ride it out. Let me ask you something, have you ever been in a Cat. 4 hurricane? Ever had tree's crash through your house, 5 yards away from your entire family? Ever been stuck in your neighborhood because tree's, cars, homes are in the road and it takes 5 days for the city, and military cut you out b/c at day 2 you and your neighbors run out of gas to operate the chainsaws? Ever walked out of your home and had snakes, alligators sitting on your front lawn? I have. Like I said, some people have no real way of getting out. Walking out of town isn't much of an option...

Cat: I've had 300mph tornados on my block. I got in my car and left. Others who didnt have cars ran outside the track of the twister.

When you have a week or so to get off your duff to go somewhere, you can find someway to go inland within those 168 hours.

I'm not joking about it at all cat. But when you have that much time, you can go somewhere. They were not homeless bums before the hurricane came. They had a place to live and somehow managed to get to a store for food and drink on a regular basis. Like I said before, if this just popped up in the Gulf and only a 24 hour notice, ok, but it was atleast a weeks notice that was given.

Good Lord, of course he is! Look at his friggin' hat - he looks like a charter member of Fairies for Smokey the Bear club.

If he ever stops making signs, he can become a designer for kidnapping notes.

Would you want this guy in front of your stadium representing your team?

I've had several warnings living on the SC coast most of my life and take them with a grain of salt because you never know if it will hit until the last 48 - 24 hours. Plus the power of most hurricanes are extremely overrated by the weather "experts" on the Weather Channel, so most tend to ignore them.

nothing, but it was a deal when Rueben started. He's a great guy, he was at my Grandfathers funeral(former Cop) and was just an allaround great man. He did a great service to Charleston
