Nolan Ryan Hospitalized in Round Rock
Ryan, a majority owner of the Round Rock Express and Corpus Christi Hooks, Triple- and Double-A affiliates of the Houston Astros, was evaluated by Express team doctor Tim Robins. All initial evaluations were normal and Ryan is in stable condition. He will be transferred to a Houston hospital for more evaluations.
“This is something I’ve lived with for the last seven years,” Ryan said in a release from the Express. “I appreciate all that Dr. Robins and the Round Rock Medical Center did for me. I’m looking forward to being in Houston next week for the Nolan Ryan Elite Pitching Camp at Minute Maid Park.”
