I thought that is what some schools were trying to do- Green Bay, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Omaha. It seems better for identification and isn't such a mouthful. Cuts down on confusion.

Yes, it's awesome. When I tell somebody NDSU is playing Denver or Omaha. I get "ok." When I tell someone we are playing IPFW or IUPUI. They just look at me funny and ask what is that. I've started just calling them Fort Wayne or Indianapolis anyway.

As far as the Summit League is concerned, most of them are already referred to by their city names (Denver, Omaha, Fort Wayne). IUPUI can't do it though because there is already a University of Indianapolis, and and they don't want to cause confusion.

Just call 'em oo-ee-poo-ee like we do and call it a day.

When i tell people we are playiing IPFW, I tell them we are playing "Fort Wayne". When I tell people we are playing IUPUI, I tell them we are playing "A team from Indiana". I got nothing for IUPUI.
