... now that the athletes at ACC's North Carolina schools want the law to be repealed after all.

The athletes who signed the letter, as WCHL relayed it, are UNC fencer Ezra Baeli-Wang, Duke football receiver Chris Taylor, Wake Forest golfer Tanner Owen, and NC State diver Gabi McDermott. They’re members of an ACC student athletic advisory panel. Duke and the ACC’s league office previously expressed approval (http://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2016/9/12/12897500/duke-acc-north-carolina-hb2-law-ncaa-relocate-championships) of the NCAA’s decision to pull events out of the state.

A fencer, a golfer, a diver and one football player. The headline makes it seem like a groundswell of support. It is to be suspected that most athletes would oppose the bill because it prevents post-season play in-state.

The legislature and governor are too busy suing each other right now to deal with this. I've heard the SoCon may pull next year's basketball tournament, even though there really aren't good alternative locations. Chattanooga gives UTC a home-court advantage, and tournaments in Greenville and North Charleston were not well-attended and the venues are too large.

This is for the people of the State of North Carolina to work out. If you ain't a North Carolinian it ain't none of your business. See 10th Amendment.
