The 2016 football season saw Jacksonville State win its third-straight OVC Championship as the Gamecocks completed its third-straight undefeated and un-tied league campaign (a first in OVC history). The Gamecocks also finished in the Top 10 in the final FCS polls for the fourth-straight year, the first OVC team to ever do that.
