In a MMA fight, CM would kill Mayweather. Boxing would be the other way around.

It's a boxing match; it was McGregor's idea.

He's an idiot.

But he could laugh all the way to the bank. His biggest MMA fight netted him $3.5 million and even with that his career earnings are just over $9 million which ranks #1 all time in UFC; he's being offered $15 million plus a percentage of the pay-per-view proceeds for this fight. He'll make more from this one fight, if he follows through on the check his mouth wrote, than he (or any other fighter past and present) will make from his entire MMA career.

So if McGregor is getting $15million, what does Mayweather get?

Assuming that Mayweathers company would handle everything, and I would assume he would get the lions share of the PPV $, I would say a hell of a lot more than $15 million.

Speaking from the money perspective, it makes way more sense for sure.

Mayweather is talking about him getting $100 million for that fight, if I was McGregor I would demand at least 25% plus some on the back end.

McGregor would never take 15 million. From a fight like this Floyd would receive well over 100 million. If we are being honest, who is really the big draw? Would you watch because its Mayweather fighting or would you watch cause its McGregor?

Last PPV sales for Mayweather 400-550,000 Rumored last McGregor PPV buys >1.6 million.

This fight would shape up like Mayweather-Pacquio which garnered like 5 million buys and generated over 400 million dollars. No way on earth MC takes $15 million and he shouldn't. If he is on the card the revenue skyrockets, no way Conor takes a tenth what Floyd gets.

As far as fighting goes last Mayweather fight punches thrown in 12 rounds 232-410. Last McGergor Fight Diaz stats were 252-435 in 5 rounds. McGregor could eat Floyds punches all day. He ate punches from Diaz and Diaz is bigger and used lighter gloves. Floyd wins fights by not getting hit.
