coming from a school who has tasted big time with in the last couple of years and understanding the effect it had on the school---I would say yes

Is he likely to be a supporter of the football program?

He's been a I-A football ref for a number of years. Big East and CUSA. Some have said ACC but I couldn't find anything to back that up. It appears he has been one of the supporters for GMU to add football, but I can't find any articles to support that.
