Walter Camp Football Foundation 2016Football Championship Subdivision All-America TeamNew Haven, CT – Eastern Washington senior wide receiver Cooper Kupp headlines the 2016Walter Camp Football Championship Subdivision All-America team.The team was selected by the head coaches and sports information directors of theFootball Championship Subdivision schools and certified by the accounting and auditing firm,Marcum LLP.Kupp is a repeat All-American, one of four players who have previously earned WalterCamp All-America honors. Kupp led Eastern Washington to the FCS semifinals, hauling in 117receptions for 1,700 yards and 17 touchdowns for the season.Joining Kupp on the offense is junior quarterback Jeremiah Briscoe (Sam HoustonState). Briscoe passed for 4,602 yards (2nd in the nation) and a nation-leading 57 touchdownsthis season for the Bearkats.The FCS’ leading rusher with 1,799 yards, junior running back Chase Edmonds(Fordham) is on the team along with senior Tarik Cohen (North Carolina A&T).Leading the defense is senior linebacker Christian ****z (Duquesne), a repeat AllAmericaselection who has 24 tackles for loss on the season. Junior defensive back DeeDelaney (The Citadel), a repeat honoree, leads the defensive secondary along with seniorDonald Payne (Stetson), who returns to the All-America team after making it in 2014.The nation’s sack leader, redshirt senior Karter Schult (Northern Iowa), and leadingtackler, senior linebacker Dylan Cole (Missouri State), are on the All-America team.In all, players from 11 different conferences and 22 institutions are represented on the2016 Walter Camp FCS All-America team.The Missouri Valley Conference has the most honorees with six, while Colonial AthleticAssociation has four. Four schools, including FCS finalist James Madison, had two selections(The Citadel, Jacksonville State and Sam Houston State were the others).
