This really is not an upset imo. I think a lot of people felt JMU had the team to go into the dome and win. This was easily the best team NDSU faced in Fargo over the last 6 years imo. 2012 GSU was really good but they weren't as balanced as the Dukes....

The better team won - NDSU had to convert that TO into a TD to win and did not. Schor was a magician and Abdullah was an assassin. Their WRs and DBs outmatched ours. I like their aggressive defense - sometimes you can gash them, but they keep coming and, obviously, it works. Kinda think we got outcoached too.

For NDSU, gotta get way better in the secondary. The team only loses 9 seniors (if DeLuca comes back) so there's that, but three huge OL are among them.

Well that is how it ends. Hats of to the JMU players and fans. Honestly, they were louder than we were at points and there is something wrong with that. NDSU looked flat for outside of the very end of the 2nd and beginning/middle of the 3rd. Can't expect to win a football game and show up for only 15 minutes. Whoever that JMU fan was wearing the Black Jersey leading their crowd, has some serious passion for his team and I commend him for that.

At the end of the day though, 5 straight national championships, 5 straight, is unfathomable and I will take that any day of the week. If someone would have asked me 6 years ago, would you believe that you would win 5 straight after a playoff loss, I would have laughed and asked for whatever they were taking. It sucks that I graduate and wont see a Bison 6 Pack, but this loss I think will help re-energize the fanbase and get NDSU back to where it belongs. It sucks that NDSU lost, but I congratulate JMU on a hell of a game, but I also congratulate this Bison Dynasty and team on an incredible run.

I look forward to next year, even if I am not in Fargo, so that I can look forward to the Bison retaking the championship.

followed by a few false starts, that's predictable we all knew about 10 of those were coming

Schor makes another nice scramble and hits a long pass similar to the pass the made in the Sammy game..... the entire JMU team is waiting for the flag but it never comes... they have to sprint down field as they were kind of standing around waiting for the yellow rain....haha

TD run by Abdullah was a thing of beauty, he put on a burst of southern speed that would make citidog blush...... wait for it now, called back on a ticky tack call just as I predicted would happen in the first quarter. The RB was already cruising towards the END ZONE when the ref decides to call back the play on something that happened that wouldn't changed the outcome of the play ..... and that something wasn't much

the roughing the Passer call against JMU..... Another head shaker....

I had doubts at this point as the refs were out of control, but at some point they just realized JMU was just to daggone good.... the refs gave up...

Lot of false starts and penalties on our starting right tackle. But what is the viewpoint on that DE constantly bobbing his head and false jumping into the neutral zone? It's not the NFL so it's not a penalty due to neutral zone infraction. And it worked. But is that really a sign of a grown a$$ man team like we were lead to believe? No. Don't believe me? Go back and watch the film. That dude jumped and twitched like a little bit*h all game.

Also, that crowd was the whitest, oldest crowd of all time. Average age: 59. The COMMONWEALTH much more representative of a vibrant America.

Lastly, only scored 27, alphagriz you chauncy. Without that bogus Richard Simmons-like two arms up jazzercize holding penalty negated our 34 points were a given.

I'm 58, and many alums attend Bison football games Did you notice the 4000 students? Most FCS schools are happy to get 4000 people at a game. Having a dome in a cold climate, does allow for fans from any age group to comfortably attend. What is the waiting list for season tickets at JMU? Bison season tickets are almost impossible to get.

Are you familiar with the history of Fargo and where most of the people migrated from in the 1870's and 1880's. FYI, mostly Scandinavian and German. North Dakota's population has stayed pretty constant for ever, due to the climate. They have had a recent boom due to the oil industry. Fargo is very welcoming to fans from other teams. Hats off to JMU coaches, players, school and most of their fans, as that was a championship quality team that beat the Bison last night.

Yep, that was a great play by Schor and really turned the momentum around. JMU was the most balanced team and probably the best team I have seen in this building since I moved back here in 2007. Teams with spread offenses can give us trouble but those guys can run the ball as well, outside of a couple of stops and an interception, we had no answer on D.

Vanilla, no ****, but that is who we are, our wide outs do not get separation on deep balls so we are not really a threat in that department. JMU was playing one on one coverage and bringing a lot of guys and stacking the box, that is how you beat us. NDSU had it's chances, I actually thought that when the score was 17-17, we had the game, been there done that, but it was not to be.

The illegal man downfield was the right call. It was a busted screen pass. The reason the flag doesn't come out right away is there's no flag if the QB runs. So after the ball's thrown they have to assess who's downfield.

Well based on NDSU's schedule next year, we are going to have to pretty much be undefeated to sniff a 1 or 2 seed. We ended up with two weaker OOC opponents, and then a tough trip to EWU. deffinetly got side tracked. Everyone was coming at me and I had to defend myself....I brought all the attacks on myself self and apologize to Ursus and some of the NDSU fans for taking it to far....

As for the game... I was really disappointed in the penalties jmu had... I didn't see that coming... If they had played a somewhat clean game.. they could have won it by 17-24 points or 3 scores....JMu style and defense is just a bad match for the bison.. we have a pretty good defense that can get teams off the field...Hard to grind out long drives against that... Our O line creates some huge holes.hard to choose between trying stop Abdullah or the precision passing and playmaking abilities of Schor... I saw prolly least three plays where ndsu d linemen was almost completely unblock... Schor spun out and made magic... The first drive when was third and long....was amazing.. As I expected I wasn't really impressed with Easton stick... I thought he have a tough game.. I saw a lot of missed throws when he had to actually throw it down field...He did have a few nice ones though.one of them think was third down and a jmu player almost sacked him.....ndsu special teams was impressive the punter was as advertised.if ndsu gets healthy on defense maybe some of the holes aren't there and they end up winning.hopefully they have a rematch next year in H burg or frisco...Although from what I hear it's worth it to make the trip to Fargo even if it is in the middle of no where

Bisonline (and all other NDSU fans). I was in Fargo last night for the game, and your fans couldn't have been better. It's easy to be gracious hosts before the game, but you guys were nothing but class even afterwards. From folks buying drinks, taking me on a "tour" of the tailgate lots, etc. I had a great time, and glad I got to see first hand the incredible tradition and atmosphere you all have.

My voice is completely shot, and after getting back to VA at 4:00 in the morning I'm going to need a few days to recover from the festivities. Wouldn't trade it for anything though.

You know what's really going to suck about this win for JMU? Craig "the dildo" Haley is going to be writing endless articles about CAA football prowess for the next 3 years. Well that is how it ends. Hats of to the JMU players and fans. Honestly, they were louder than we were at points and there is something wrong with that. NDSU looked flat for outside of the very end of the 2nd and beginning/middle of the 3rd. Can't expect to win a football game and show up for only 15 minutes. Whoever that JMU fan was wearing the Black Jersey leading their crowd, has some serious passion for his team and I commend him for that.

At the end of the day though, 5 straight national championships, 5 straight, is unfathomable and I will take that any day of the week. If someone would have asked me 6 years ago, would you believe that you would win 5 straight after a playoff loss, I would have laughed and asked for whatever they were taking. It sucks that I graduate and wont see a Bison 6 Pack, but this loss I think will help re-energize the fanbase and get NDSU back to where it belongs. It sucks that NDSU lost, but I congratulate JMU on a hell of a game, but I also congratulate this Bison Dynasty and team on an incredible run.

I look forward to next year, even if I am not in Fargo, so that I can look forward to the Bison retaking the championship.

I think we lose 8 or 9 out of 10 playing JMU. That is one solid team talent wise. Very fast and strong. Take away all the penalties they had and this game wouldn't have even been close. The place that I noticed it most is their blocking schemes and how they were able to completely take our guys away from the ball when JMU was on offense and get right to the ball when they were on defense. NDSU's blockers just couldn't keep up. JMU dominated.

Bison fans........do you think you win a rematch? If the game was played 10 times what do you think the results would look like?

I felt y'all came out flat, almost uninspired.......no I take that back. Earlier in the year WDAY was reporting that the kids were under a ton of pressure not to lose and it was showing up in games. Your coach then did some things to loosen it up a but, but what I saw was that same look of tightness, presure....not sure how to describe it, but the team almost looked mechanical at times. If you get my drift.

Do you feel the same way?

I think we win 5 out of 10. They looked like the better team in the first half, but we looked like we got things figured out in the third quarter. Credit JMU for turning the momentum back in their favor. I've seen a lot of teams give us scares in the playoffs, but we get it together in the second half and finish. JMU weathered the storm and took back the game.

As far as uninspired, we did come off a revenge game against a rival, so I think there may have been somewhat of a hangover effect. However, it's the playoffs. Our players knew what was at stake.

Oh well. We all knew this day would come. The promising thing moving forward is our defense is getting, IMO, more back from injuries then we'll lose in graduation coming into next year.

Absolutely not. You honestly think we lose that game 90% of the time? We absolutely handled a B1G team in the 2nd half and you think JMU beats us 90% of the time? We tied it and got conservative and lost but yet you think that happens 90% of the time? Holy **** people, we lost the streak. That doesn't make us a ****ty team. No way in hell JMU wins that game 90% of the time. I don't think JMU wins that game 50% of the time.

JMU is not a "B1G" team, they are a 2016 JMU team. He didn't ask if I thought we could beat a B1G team again. He asked if we could beat JMU. We played a really solid game, JMU completely dominated play after play. Other than a few breaks we were shut down in all aspects of the game. That is not being pessimistic or saying our guys suck. Our guys played a great game and have spectacular talent. I'm very proud of our guys and their work. They just couldn't keep up with JMU's guys skill wise. JMU is damn good in all parts of the game. JMU isn't even the best team we played this year, I just can't agree with them beating us 90% of the time. We had a big drive killed by an illegal block and they had big plays from broken plays where we lost coverage. Yes that is our fault but they are not things that would occur in a rematch in my opinion. Maybe I watched a different game but I didn't see this dominance from JMU like you describe
