Ever since the brackets were revealed, I was anticipating this game. I think this is going to be the game of the week. As a JMU fan, I am definitely nervous about this one. I fully expect this game to come down to the last possession. I'm hoping the defense continues to play strong, but they will definitely have their hands full.
I do hope Briscoe is okay. It's only fair to have both teams at full strength. If we are going to win/lose, I want to win/lose to a team at their best.

Tougher time ? Bearkats had only allowed 8 sacks all year were sacked 7 times. 13 points below their average of 54 and 120 yards below their average yards per game. If Briscoe can play healthy and you can't get any pressure on him he will pick you apart. Receivers are fast and run to the ball well.

Funny thing about Sam is that The defense ranks 89th overall but 11th in tackles for a loss and fourth in sacks in fcs.

And they catch EVERYTHING!!! I was impressed by Chatty's secondary. We scored our points and got our yards but the number of SPECTACULAR catches our guys made is a testament to how great they are and in reality how good Chatty's secondary played. Briscoe had td's to wide open guy's 3 times he missed thatvwe ended up having to punt. But other than those passes the dbs were tight and forced JB to throw some guy's open and our young receivers made some Sunday catches. It's crazy to me that ALL those guys will be back.

What kind of offenses are they [SHSU] playing against? Outside of Richmond and UNH, JMU's schedule was predominantly teams that would rather run the ball and throw out of power formations. FWIW, JMU has been getting to the QB a lot more in last 3 games than previous 9.

I think what your going to find is that our teams are very similar with team speed and talent . Our O numbers are different because if you take away the run, we pass. Take away the pass, we run. Our D got hurt big in the first few games, but now are playing well. I think special teams will decide this game. It should be a VERY good game and NDSU will be watching this one very close

Well, they gave up 236 to UTC on 46 tries for 5.1 an attempt. They allow 157/game on average...4.0 per rush. But that was to the Southland mostly. Not a lot of rush first teams down there. Their 3rd down D allows conversions at 0.365. I think JMU will be able to run as they want mostly. I don't think they have seen a rushing team quite like JMU. The thing about JMU is even if your running game stalls, you have a passer who is pretty dang good. Should be a fun game.

Both teams have QBs that seem to not be 100%. I have a feeling this will be one of those games without a lot of defense. The winner will be the team that makes the fewest mistakes that stop themselves. My heart says JMU, but it's anyone's game.

If JMU has any advantage it'll be that don't have to travel across the country in a short week.

That's what ewu did to uca yesterday. Changed their pace and actually held the ball and kept it away from the bears. We'll have to see if either the Kats or jmu will employ this tactic. More likely jmu though as the Kats offense is at their best when they're playing fast.

We scored 28 puts in the second quarter Saturday and that's not unusual for our offense. We are not afraid of a shootout. The question is will your D stop our Offense more than we can stop yours? I say you can't, but that's why they play the game. Can't wait

That's what ewu did to uca yesterday. Changed their pace and actually held the ball and kept it away from the bears. We'll have to see if either the Kats or jmu will employ this tactic. More likely jmu though as the Kats offense is at their best when they're playing fast.

Me too....I hate injuries but honestly that's what makes fcs so great. The playoffs are brutal. There's no 4-5 weeks to prep for your best shot. Teams with the best 65 players usually win because we tgere will certainly be times when you need your 2nd and third string guy's to make step in and play in a big spot.

Well to be fair he only played 2 years at Delaware, and played in what would probably be considered and NFL type offense. Not an air raid throw it all over the yard. Looking at 2010 he had 3000+ yards with 22 TDs and only 3 INTs. I believe he missed 1 whole game possibly 2. Superstar is up for interpretation though. The fact that he was a huge recruit coming out of high school and went to Penn St. originally might have a little play in some people's opinion as well.

If any fan base knows about making a deep playoff run on the road, it's us. It can be done, but it definitely isn't easy.
This is really going to be one hell of a game. What makes it better is having two passionate fan bases that feel they are the better team. We get to decide it on the field Friday.

Sam and JMU are up there, but Missouri state and sac state have more. Towson and Delaware and cal poly have similar enrollments and liberty has the most if you count online studies
