The #2 Team from the SoCon beat Chatt worse than SHSU did and they didn't get a seed at all. And the #1 Team from the SoCon, who also beat Chatt worse AND was also undefeated in FCS games (same as SHSU - but with a much tougher schedule) was screwed with a lower seed than the BearKats.

EWU beat UCA by 3 scores and I'm not sure that even means anything at all in terms of SHSU's seed. If NDak absolutely blows out Richmond, who is playing with their 3rd Team QB after having to play last week and travel 2/3rds of the way across the Country, then I think all that will prove is that the Big Lie is truly a 2 Team League.

I don't think holding up the SLC, the OVC, or The Big Lie Conference as proof of seed justification is going to hold much water. Better to stick with the undefeated 'angle' and run with it as long as you can...which, I think, is 6 more days.

It's already been established that the shsu defense is their soft spot, but I heard a lot of folks this week say that Chatty wouldn't let Sam do this or that. Well that stellar pass defense got drubbed for 373 yards and five touchdowns.

Jmu will no doubt be another great team and traveling across the country and playing one of the top 8 teams in the country will be a big challenge.

Well said. Every game, every day, is different. We just made a couple of more plays than the Mocs...who are a damn good team! Hope Briscoe is okay to play but, if not, Griffin can carry the load. Win and move on!

I even said in this thread that I thought SHSU may score more points than Chatt., but that Chatt would not be the victim of an a$$-whippin (as every Team on the BearKats featherweight regular season schedule were)...and that Chatt would not be 'out-physical'd,' which they surely were NOT.

Very good, down-to-the-final-seconds win for SHSU, the hardly-challenged SLC Champ, over the SoCon's #3 Team, but I still don't see how they deserved a seed better than #5, if they deserved a seed at all...just as every Team in the Big Lie Conference, without a red home field, has proven that they did not...or did not even belong in the Playoffs (C-P & Weber).

I was a little worried about this game going in. Fear of the unknown about the opponent. Chatty defensive line is legit. They used a 4 man rush all day for the most part.

Yet at the end, I still won since you and the rest of the Novembrists kept interacting with me and would not ignore me. So if anything, I proved how foolish and annoying your supposed "fanbase" actually is. You are just like those in the country who play the victim card at every turn of life. When it does not got your way, you cry wolf and wonder why no one will listen to you. There is a reason why you were the #5 seed. You barely escaped Chatty in a football game and your SOS proves that when you finally play a top 10-15 team, you have to worry about actually being exposed as a paper tiger. No soup for you.

Most of AGS will root for JMU so your attempt at a fanbase will disappear and we can go back to having a rational discussion with the mainstayers.

I didn't see Briscoe leave the game due to injury until the very end.

Yet i saw the chatty backup come in several times to spell a hobbling Bennifield. And i saw him drag himself off the turf slowly quite a few times with assistance from team mates. And maybe that's why he was less effective later in the game as well as shsu adjustments?

Let's not pretend that the Chatty QB had an easy day.

Congrats, the only D we scored fewer points on was #ButtNicholls so congrats for being 3 points worse on defense than Nicholls was.

So you scored 29 with your offense congrats! Cuz McNeese scored 43 and Incarnate Friggin word scored 48! So congrats on being worse on offense then them. Hell, you were only 8 points improved over the D2 team we played. And their QB wasn't dragging himself around for 3 quarters. So congrats on being better than Oklahoma Panhandle State.
Briscoe have you a score with a poorly thrown ball backed up near his end zone. You are welcome for that gift...you needed it.

Special teams? We made one bad snap that led to points, but you had a returned crap down his leg that led to points, and then your coaching staff urinated on itself by calling a fake punt on 4th and a mile while backed up....which also led to points.

Or running game has been non existent for about 5 games now. You know who else shut down our run game? Here's a list:

ACU, Nicholls, McNeese, NWST, UCA...so congrats one being equally as good against the run as 4 non playoffs SLC teams.

So the only thing you guys did well, that no one else has done against us...is get to the QB. You guys had great Dline. No question.

But pump the brakes a smidge on the exposure talk. The only exposure that went on was when i decided not to walk all the way over to the port-a-can to relieve myself after the game. It was cold, so no one saw anything.

The formula of this game went EXACTLY as the rest.
