The Bears aren't really that big of a suprise. Most people picked them to win their division rather easily. The Saints on the other hand are a huge suprise but their roster is solid top to bottom. With that said i'm leaning towards the Bears at home. If i'm correct a road dome team has never advanced to the Super Bowl playing outside.

Most people in New Orleans would have been happy with 6-7 wins at the start of the season. Now with the Saints in the NFC Championship game (still has a funny ring to it), Mardi Gras has started early.

Saints posted better record on the road than at home and two biggest wins came at Dallas and NY Giants. Payton WILL HAVE the Saints ready to play.

This is a great game cuz the Bears are my #1 and the Saints are my #2 back to the days of Bobby Hebert, Pat Swilling, Morton Anderson...

I like the Saints to win this one. What are the odds of Rex Grossman going two consecutive games without stinking up the joint?

As a Bears fan, hopefully the odds are going to be good. I truly believe Chicago is going to be focused like never before. For the last 20 seasons, foreign hands have hoisted high the Halas Trophy and that needs to change starting next week. First the Halas, then the Lombardi. Saints will keep it close though. GO BEARS!!!

go catamounts!!!

Drew Brees should have been the MVP. How he turned around the Aints was remarkable.

I actually picked New England and Chicago to be in the Super Bowl prior to the season. So while I really like the Saints, I gotta root with my wallet and hope Chicago wins this one.

Not true. The Falcons won on the road however they played at another dome team the Vikings. No dome team has ever won on the road playing outside in a conference title game as i mentioned in an earlier post.

I'm taking the Saints. Not just because I'm an Eagles fan. Saints are more balanced with the pass and run game. Better QB. If Horn is back the Bear D will be stretched. Saints 27-17.

On Rex Grossman, if you watched the games, it was the offensive line's inability to pick up some of the blitzes that caused the problems. When they did, Grossman was one of the best in the league and certainly better than we have had here since at least '85 and maybe since the '40's.

Remember this:
Scoring: Bears 427 - Saints 413

Defense scoring :Bears 255 Saints 322

Home Record Bears 6-2 Saints 4-4

Road Record Bears 6-2 Saints 6-2

Against NFC Bears 11-1 Saints 9-3

Last week Grossman 21 of 38 for 282 1 TD 1 INT 76.9 Rating
Brees 20 of 32 for 243 1 TD 0 int 96.2 rating

The Bears are pissed off right now. Every one is picking against them and telling them that they suck. The Nation wants to see the Saints win because New Orleans suffered so much. Sorry folks, the saints winning isn't going to replace those homes..

I think you are going to see the Bears team of the first few weeks.

Bears 37 Saints 17.

And????

Remember, the Packers had NEVER lost a home playoff game at Lambeau Field...then, the Falcons...a DOME TEAM...beat them. Although people like to pretend that history actually plays a role in the outcome of these games...it doesn't. They're all mutually exclusive events. ANY coaches or players will tell you that the past doesn't matter.

The Bears are taking away those screens the Saints are used to running and they can cover downfield thats why Brees looks so rattled.
