Of course I was there!
#19 Quinnipiac won 6-2 before a sellout crowd at the Yale Whale. Yale came out on fire and got on the board first, just two minutes into the game. QU responded with a pair of goals within a minute of each other and never looked back. After the first period, it was pretty much all Quinnipiac.
I know these two teams have only played each other three times, but this is becoming quite a rivalry. There's not a lot of love lost between these two clubs. Even among fans, there's bragging rights at stake. The two campuses are only 5 miles apart.
Quinnipiac steps out of league play for two weeks sitting atop the ECACHL by 5 points with a league record of 8-3-3 (19 points). It's pretty amazing and exciting to see this team do so well in only their second year in the league. I'm looking forward to our next game against Yale, which will be at the new TD Banknorth Center on the QU campus.

Congrats to Q. Looks like Yale will have to pick up their game just to stay competitive in their home area. Has Q always been the "Bobcats". I lived in CT for 40 years and cannot remember them being the Bobcats.

Quinnipiac became the Bobcats about 5 years ago. Before that, they were known as the "Braves".
