The thread about stadiums got me fired up for baseball. Getting ready for Twinsfest in 2 weeks. I have a vendor booth, and will be there 4 days. Last year Bert Blyleven was one booth over signing Circle Me Bert Bobbleheads. He was great with the fans. Having a Dome in 5 degree weather has it's advantages.

Just wait a few weeks & see them in Fort Myers, I like the stadium they play at there, not a bad seat in the house & probably about 50-60 degrees warmer than Minny come 1st pitch.

What a great year to be a Cardinal fan!
I can't wait until April 1st and the 7 months that follow.

Most all of the Spring Training facilities are great places to watch a game, plus food and drinks are reasonably priced. You can even get a real cheesesteak and a tastykake at the Phillies Bright House Netwoks Field in Clearwater - and there is large tiki bar in left field that makes a mean margarita!

My college team plays spring games in Fort Meyers in March.
The Twins stadium is great.
I saw Cal Ripken play there in 96 or 97. He played 4 innings and signed autographs along the right field line for over an hour.
I was lucky enough to get a wood bat signed by him.
He truly is a class act, he would greet everyone he signed for.

Ripken is a class act. He was here for the Kirby Puckett Charity Pool Tournament several times, and spoke at his tribute in the Metrodome.

My father-in-law got to drive on the turf during a pregame at the Metrodome last season as part of a NASCAR promotion. He really enjoyed his visit. He talked with several of the players down on the field, but, not being a big enough baseball fan to know much about the twins, he had no clue who any of them were.
