Kids from Montana, Montana St., App, JMU and others represented. Can't figure out where the "Texas" part came from, but oh well.

because Texas is bigger and better than the rest of you ;)

It lists DD Terry on Team Texas. From our understanding, he turned it down.

Texas players either had to play college ball or HS ball in Texas...

Just goes to show you how Texas players have gone on to fill rosters of college teams all throughout the country...

I know I'd rather be playing for Team Texas. With Mike Price as the coach you might get a strip club tour if you win. :smiley_wi

From the Texas vs the Nation web site...

"The Texas team is made up of players who have high school or collegiate ties to the state as well as a few regional exceptions. The Texas roster will always provide and offer players who have played high school, college or who are natives of the state to secure the primary roster spots provided each year, but will also consider regional or special circumstance prospects so that a complete and competitive roster can be submitted to the NFL Scouts. The Nation team includes players from some of the top football programs in the country including Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Boston College, and Louisville."

So it is not really Texas versus the nation - it is anyone with ties to Texas, plus whatever good players we need to fill out the rosters to keep the game competitive.

Swogger's parents concieved him after watching an episode of Dallas, so he fits the Texas criteria.
