If this is true, and they allowed Salisbury to continue with the company, it shows where their priorities lie. Although I can't stand Limbaugh, they fired him for expresing an opinion (which I vehemently disagree with), and fired Harold Reynolds just because they felt like it. This is truly f'ed up.

It's amazing that Harold Reynolds gets fired & idiots like Salisbury & Michael Irvin can work there.

How did Salisbury get this E$PN job anyway? He was a terrible QB (backup) for the Vikes in the mid-90s and I think he is one of the most negative broadcasters out there, second to Cris Collinsworth. Plus I thought I've seen him on E$PN News in the last couple months.

Obviously the "if" this is true is a pretty big statement - I wouldn't call that site any kind of substantial journalism so I'll have to wait until something more concrete. Of course, I've always slightly disliked Salisbury since he was the QB that Denny "can't coach to save my life" Green put in in place of Gannon back when they were on the Vikings - cost them a playoff spot and sent Gannon's career in the toilet for a few years. Oh well.

How you play on the field has nothing to do with getting a job at ESPN. He can speak off the top of his head for hours and do it fairly well. Thats all it takes to be on the radio and being an analyst.
That said, I think he's a tool.
I liked Harold Reynolds, I hope he catches on with Fox Sports or one of the other channels for baseball.

Well sure, I know it's like being a coach. I don't think Brad Childress could hold his own against a linebacker. He can speak, but does anything of real knowledge come out? :twocents:

I heard some sports radio guy this weekend talking about the 20 NFL teams that don't make the play-offs having their own play-offs for the draft order.
So to answer your question, no. :)

I loved this quote from one of the posters.
"I bet he calls it the Salisbury Steak. I would. I do."

Limbaugh :pumpuke: never should have been hired to begin with. That big-fat-donut-eating-slob never played a down of football in his life.
His knowledge of the game was ZERO! Here's to you Rush wherever you are... xazzx xazzx

Yeah and Al Michaels was a stud DB? What about Bob Coastas? He rocked as a flanker. Dan Patrick? Jim Nantz?

ALL have more knowledge of the game than fatboy Limbaugh. I think Tom Jackson knows just a little about playing LB.
