Don't know if this thread is somewhere, but I'm surprised the Bison faithful haven't jumped all over this yet. Looks like the UM Gophers want to talk to NDSU's Bohl for thier head coach. Any chance this may happen?

It has been talked about on the Hauck/Bohl thread, but a new topic is needed. There is a chance. Bohl is a dynamic person when you talk to him face to face. Kind of a catch 22, I hope he stays, but I also wish the best for him. Gophers fans and admin were impressed the way NDSU dominated them in the dome.

It has me a bit spooked. The sports guy in the Fargo newspaper says Bohl is a long shot. But, if MN comes knocking, Bohl is gone......

He's done such a good job there will be no end to this type of attention even if this job doesn't pan out.

Yes.......retention is an issue we all battle with. Success means you are looking for a coach, unless you get a guy like Erk from Georgia Southern, who stayed for 8 years and all those titles. I had a hell of a lot of respect for that guy.

He seems to be the Strib's guy (even Sid Hartman spoke well of him. Remember, Sid was all about Skip Holtz right away).

I haven't seen any reports (TV or startribune.com) other than GopherIllustrated.com which speculates that the job may have been offered last night.

Kiffen seems to be their guy.

Of course, it's not over until it's over.

That was written in today's Star Tribune. I think they have more of a shot to get Flip for basketball than Dungy. I remember reading one of the homer's articles some time back and they indicated that the Gopher basketball job may be one of the prime jobs in the country (aside from of course Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, UNC, etc) and landing a big time coach whether it be Flip or Bobby Knight was not that far fetched.

Maybe they will wait to see what Indianapolis does this weekend before offering the job...xlolx

ALERT! ALERT!
According to a poster on Gopherhole, Kiffin has been INTERVIEWED ONLY (http://p218.ezboard.com/USC-sources-say-Kiffin-just-interviewed-no-job-offer/fthehole84398frm7.showMessage?topicID=15111.topic) and not offered a contract like it said on Gopher Illustrated.
