So does Goedert win the John Mackey award? It would be a travesty if he did not. I honestly do not believe there is another TE in all of NCAA football that is worthy of that award.

He has no shot. First of all this is FCS and it is clearly a few notches below the SEC and the rest of the P5 so someone like the Ole Miss TE will win the award. Goedert will just dominate FCS and hope he can get on the watch list heading into next year, which he should.

What's keeping Gubrud from cracking the top 5. He's 1 or 2 in nearly every passing category, has the most rushing yards of all the QB's on the list, leads yardage and total offense by significant numbers, and has done it against Big Fluffy defenses but also WSU, NDSU, and UNI.

System QB? Sophomore? # of attempts? He's 4th in attempts which will pad his yardage numbers a little bit especially compared to Briscoe but he's only thrown one more pass than Devlin Hodges and leads him in every other category except percentage where he trails by .2.

Still no love for Calvert SCFB Fan? Does he have to throw for 500 yards to get you to take notice?

Stephen Calvert is throwing for 173 ypg and has a good, though not excellent, 141 efficiency rating. He's got a ways to go to make a POTY watch list.

A lot of that is driven by his minimal work in the first part of the season while the coaching staff was trying to figure out what to do and sticking with Masha as the starter...he has played much MUCH better since he was given the keys to the offense

The problem I have with Calvert based on the stats I've seen is he's facing low competition. Like when we were talking about Bennfield a couple weeks ago. Yeah, he's got decent numbers but outside of JSU where we made him look incapable of even being mediocre his toughest competition is who? Kennesaw State?

The thing was when we faced you guys, we were still figuring out our QB situation. Calvert had I think the whole second half but the coaching staff was trying to use him the same way as the guy who started as our #1 QB, Stephen Masha. The timing has worked out with him getting most of the secondary players in the conference first in the schedule and the big showdown with csu coming at the end

I still need to know; what does Goedert, Wieneke, or TC need to do to move into that top 5? TC is a mile better than Briscoe and that includes their schedule and opponents that they have faced. People that know me, know I do not like the bunnies, but 1 of those 3 needs to be on this list over the other 5.

People need to get over the schedule crap. The schedule is what it is and the players have NO control over that. What they do have control over is their performance and I think Briscoe is having a phenomenal year. He is completing almost 70% of his passes, only has 5 ints vs 29tds. And here is the kicker, he hasnt played an entire game yet this year.

Im not saying that any of the others you mentioned are not worthy, but I don't think you need to talk down Briscoe's performance. I will put Briscoe and this Kat offense up against anyone this year.

What's keeping Gubrud from cracking the top 5. He's 1 or 2 in nearly every passing category, has the most rushing yards of all the QB's on the list, leads yardage and total offense by significant numbers, and has done it against Big Fluffy defenses but also WSU, NDSU, and UNI.

System QB? Sophomore? # of attempts? He's 4th in attempts which will pad his yardage numbers a little bit especially compared to Briscoe but he's only thrown one more pass than Devlin Hodges and leads him in every other category except percentage where he trails by .2.
